Mikey won't beat Thurman. Thurman is too big and too elusive plus he will punch back.

Real hate on Mickey will now start.
This is what happened with GGG.
One or two clowns in the media asked ****** questions.
Like "will you fight at 168 and fight Ward, the #2 p4p?"
What do you think fighters will say in general?
Then news headlines say, "GGG calls out Ward!!!"
      Kills me.

If all Mikey wants is big fights, that eliminates anyone at LW unless it's Lomachenko coming up. Linares isn't that big of a deal he's a semi-big fight, Easter is very good but he's not a name. That leaves Crawford at 140 and the dudes at 147.
I know this isn't a "BIG" fight, but what's your thoughts on Mikey Garcia vs. Omar Figueroa Jr. @ 140? I think it would be a great fight, but I don't know how well it would sell. I'd love to see it, if he can't get a fight with Linares! Omar is not Crawford, but he always brings excitement! One more thing, how about Khan vs. Garcia in the UK? That would be a good test for Mikey @ 147, and it should be a decent payday for Mikey too!

I don't think he should go to 147 at all, and i think Linares is the fight he needs to make next! Loma and Crawford are bigger fights, but I doubt if he'll get to fight Loma or Crawford, because Arum is petty! If Mikey wants to try 147, and make money, he should travel to the UK for a fight vs. Amir Khan! If you can't beat Khan @ 147, then 147 is definitely not the place for you!
Solid plan. 1000% correct. He wants 147 fight Khan. Won't get KO'd but can learn a lot about 147 with him...Loma would he awesome but Bob Arum still hates the 1st guy he ever gave money to back in 1920 or whatever . Crawford too big just like thurman.

Damn!!! Compubox would shutdown in that fight. In Texas the fight would sale-out in a matter of days...If not sooner

Man, I hope Mikey doesnt pull an Abner Mares and stretch his body to thin. He has Linares, Verdejo, and Lomenchecko he could fight at 135. Hell the best thing would be to go beat Linares and A-side a CW fight with Loma at 138. By that time TC will have vacated...

Thurman has been getting hit by guys who weigh over 155lbs and probably up to 160+??? On fightnite He would laugh Mikey' s punches off. Mikey way better of a boxer but their are weight classes for a reason. And it's mostly to protect fighters from themselves.

Mikey vs Panterita would be fine! (and I also don't know much about sales...)

(Khan is only about big big money fights...)

It would be a different story. I don't think Garcia would be avoided like a plague. There are plenty of fights for him.

Thurman would be happy to oblige knowing that Spence is a tougher option.

Idk, Omar's style is something for Mikey to toy around with basically. He beat up on a shot Guerrero who everyone seems to be putting down nowadays but he dispatched him like he should if he wants to show he's on another level. KO'ing a durable guy like RG, who goes 12 even when he's losing, that was a much needed win for Omar's career. It would be a welcomed fight obviously because like you said, Omar be in exciting fights and then Garcia is technically sound but exciting in his own right.
