Sky will refuse to do this, as will every other box office provider that is a major player

It would be embarrassing and a reputation hit for organisations that try to support it imo

This fight may not be on in the U.K.

Aj wlad wasn't ppv in USA

USA and Mexico simply has more talent than UK so there are more ppvs in america . and there's 5 times more people in USA.

This fight won't be 100 pounds. People aren't gonna pay 100 pounds to stay up or wake up at 5am to watch it. There are more boxing fans in america and the precedent for higher priced ppvs has been set so its tolerated.

1 mil people tune into a show on HBO in USA . Thats a much bigger percentage of the subscribers compared to sky sports shows which pull in less than 100k I remember reading

$100 is on average 5 x the amount of a standard PPV in the UK.

Simple question, would Americans pay $250 to watch a fight a 5am?

I see a bunch of Americans are trying to complain that we're all cheap for not being willing to pay that much for a PPV. Here's my hot take: maybe it's not that we're cheap for not wanting to pay that much, maybe it's that you're all suckers if you think that's a reasonable pricemark. Especially for this fight.

... it's free enterprise... one is entitled to put whatever price one wants... the problem is the buyer...

Brits are a bit more discerning and refined in their tastes. They're not going to pay chardonnay prices for 7/11 beer.
