I don't think he's even been a serious contender at 140 & 147, never mind a guy you could call a 'champion' without laughing.

A decent fighter but one of the most overhyped in my lifetime. Unbelievable how much heat the industry gave him 4/5 years ago, and how many people bought it.

You sound like a little snowflake.

According to your logic, im not allowed to discuss boxers on a boxing internet forum....because i havent won a world title?

The fact you actually typed that out, and thought it made sense in your tiny field mouse brain, is seriously worrying.

            Lol he is the worst

But hardcore fans should start calling these guys belt holders. Promoters using belts and the term champions to fool casuals

Broner has only ever been Champion at lightweight and even at that weight he wasn't there for long. He didn't face Vasquez or abril, both of which are not entertaining , which probably explains why , so he went up to the money division of welterweight .

Are the New England Patriots the Super Bowl champions or are they just trophy holders?

You realize Broner is in this small group with people like Erik Morales and Miguel Cotto.
You're missing the point, he's saying Broner got fed those titles and didn't earn them.

And when you look at his record there probably some truth in that.

winning titles in different divisions actually used to mean something but 4 champs in every division and twice as many divisions not to mention the ability to cherry pick/fight nobodies for vacant belts means its not worth anything. its something low information fans say. its something a trump supporter would say over and over

There are lots of bowl games. Super bowl, Arena bowl, Sugar bowl, etc. The Patriots are the Super bowl champions because that is the bowl they won. If there were four prominent football leagues, refusing to call the champions of those leagues "champions" of their league, and stubbornly referring to them as only the "trophy holders" of their league, is childish and pointless.

Boxing does not have one recognized league head and shoulders above the rest, but that problem was caused in large part by the media who thought they were being cute by refusing to name the leagues they were covering, which simply made it easier for new leagues to confuse the public.
