what did he ask that was insensitive?
Havent seen it yet but yea there have been a few interviews where Im thinking WTF is this dudes problem, he has this passive aggressive approach that fighters dont anticipate and its really annoying.
Its like he hates his job and fighters in general but does it for the money

nah, Gray is sound. Watch his interview of Tyson after the ear biting incident. Asked the relevant questions without escalating the situation and got the answers without getting punched by an extremely angry Tyson. Lampley is a good interviewer too, he once filled in for Merchant because Tyson refused to do an interview with Merchant, and he asked why Tyson was leaving HBO and asked about the fight without making snidey comments like Kellerman. Max is the worst interviewer, never smiles and no humour, looks afraid and smug at the same time.

When Jim was interviewing Gary Russell Jr after the Lomachenko Loss

Jim "Is Lomachenko just better than you?" (3 second pause of Russell looking confused) until Jim finished with "I mean in this fight tonight?"

I think he respected a certain kind of fighter (rock em sock em robots) far, far more than Jim Gray has ever respected any kind of fighter from what I've seen. It's that kind of sentiment that colors all his interviews that I've seen.

I've never been a fan of grays style. On Showtime my favorite commentator/interviewer has to be Steve farhood. He's no nonsense, always good questions and to the point. Anyone agree or disagree on my post?

I'm not getting the problem. I think he asked the right questions.
