  • Anyone else can't stand Jim Grays interviews?

His interviews usually have the lamest almost cringy worthy questions. Always awkward. I know broner is always doing crazy ****, but I could tell he was trying to keep it mellow and snapped because of grays lame questions, almost as if hes trying to get a rise out of Broner. I've never been a fan of grays style. On Showtime my favorite commentator/interviewer has to be Steve farhood. He's no nonsense, always good questions and to the point. Anyone agree or disagree on my post?

He comes off as insensitive and rude at times but I understand due to time constraints he has to be direct with his questions and dont have time to sugar coat things etc.

Yeah he comes off as very rude. When people seem like they aren't trying to be rude it actually makes them look more like a ****. His questions to Charlo and Broner were kind of ****ish. Broner deserved his questioning though.

Yea even though Broner does talk **** alot and especially during interviews, I felt bad that he worked himself up cause now he looked like an asshoke again. I think Grays interview he couldn't help it.

Jim Gray is a horrible interviewer. IMO the main reason his interviews are so bad is because he really has no functional understanding of boxing. He'll recite punchstats or a few things that he remembered the announcers saying during the course of the telecast, but that's all he can do.

You remember how Larry Merchant was always accused of not respecting boxers? I think he respected a certain kind of fighter (rock em sock em robots) far, far more than Jim Gray has ever respected any kind of fighter from what I've seen. It's that kind of sentiment that colors all his interviews that I've seen.

Very rude and insensitive interviewer. His straight to the point style has its upsides tho. Who would want to see an interviewer who does nothing but kiss ass the entire interview?

Yeah, he's not the best at his post fight interviews. Cringeworthy sometimes

I get that but grays question can be too awkward or unecessary
