First of all, ignore this fight. Let's talk about the Williams fight where it was level even and ended in spectacular fashion.

Second, this is what I hate about this board. Charlo beats Trout with a UNANIMOUS decision and scores damn near identical to Broner/Garcia, yet Trout "almost beat" Charlo? Whatever bro.

I see no garbage in either Charlo brother. I see quality on par with some of the best of the current generation. I certainly see more quality out of Jermall than Jermell.

I get your point about Charlo but he was also up lesser competition (a guy on stilts). He was able to showcase his talent.

I don't care about tonight's Bambi. I care about the punches he landed and his style. That has nothing to do with his opponent's legs.

And again, The Williams fight taught me everything I needed to know about how Jermall operates in the ring. Like he said, no respect given despite being absolute A-level in almost every way except stamina.

Porter got dropped and lost at least 4 rounds while outweighing him by 10 lbs. Garcia dominated evry second of every round and was outweighed by 10 lbs theres no comparison. Mikey is wayyy more impressive. Broner has been outbullied but not outskilled the way he was tonight

My bad! to be fair I had Trout winning but I can see Charlo wining as well... Charlo looked good for what it was? It was less than a sparring match though when comes to judging the fight. And YOU know this!

Charlo is an A-level fighter. It doesn't matter if his opponent shows up or not, he's nailing you with that beautiful uppercut, he pivots, he throws straight rights down the pipe, snap on every punch, good defense.

None of that was on display tonight with Mikey. He cut off the ring, yes. Good body work, yes. But anyone with above average speed and workrate beats him easily over 12. He barely threw punches yet somehow gassed, he was getting tagged on the ropes and he relies too much on counter punching. B-level. There's nothing wrong with that.

Doesn't take anything away from Garcia's win, he earned it, but he earned it against a D-level performance. That's all we're saying. Garcia didn't beat a top guy who was there to take him out, he beat a guy who content to get paid not to get knocked out, like Clottey and Judah.

I have to agree. Credit to Garcia for winning, but I didn't see anything great in there tonight.

On the flipside, adrien broner is a bum...and yes, I just called a professional fighter a bum.
