Yep it's not the price, everyone got money for a $3500 ticket in their pockets. There'd be still tickets available if they were $20.

My assumption would be when the tickets are this crazy ($150k down to 2k for sh^tty seats) people wait a lil longer to purchase them, but if Manny vs Floyd sold out by now this might be a not so great sign.

Only 1000 tickets were released for public sale for Mayweather-Pacquiao.

"Just 1,000 tickets were made available for sale to the general public for the May 2 fight, despite the MGM Grand in Las Vegas having a capacity of 16,500. The other 15,500 seats have gone to fighters, sponsors and promoters"

Oh sh^t yea I remember the nuttiness with those tickets now. Thanks for posting this.

Whats the next closest comparison to this fight? I mean I'm seeing seats on Stubhub for $150,000. Who the f#ck buys $150,000 tickets to a entertainment event where tickets are usually a far sight below $150,000? And how timely has he or she been buying these sorta tickets for past events?

Regardless I think this will be the 1st or 2nd all time gate revenue generating fight in history & nothing has changed with this news in the PPV reaching a new record if not 5M+ buys cuz you don't gotta potentially take money out of your 401k to buy the PPV like some cats might need to get attend the fight live.

Prices start at $3500 - plus another $300 or so for buyer fees - and climb to $10,000 near the ring. There are "platinum" seats that go for as much as $14,995.

ridiculous.this isnt a fight for the average fan...its for celebrities
