Comments Thread For: Mayweather-McGregor Tickets Still There, Ellerbe Not Concerned

It's supposed to be the hottest ticket in sports But fans aren't exactly storming the box office to buy tickets for Floyd Mayweather Jr's comeback fight next month with UFC superstar Conor McGregor. An online check revealed hundreds - even thousands - of seats still available from Ticketmaster at the T-Mobile Arena for the August 26 fight. There are so many open seats that fans with enough room left on their credit cards can buy six tickets together in 162 different spots throughout the 20,000 seat arena.

A lot of people have a lot of money. It's not the price... it's the sh.it show, the most entertaining part of this whole circus has passed us and it was the press conferences... the rest don't matter lol

A 20k-seat venue, where the price to get into the building is $3500, has hundreds (maybe even a thousand) of seats left after being on sale for 5 days, and there's supposed to be a panic? lol.

The hard sell for the fight just started with the recap of the press tour, and there are only maybe 5% of the tickets left, at the most ridiculous price point ever laid out for a fight.

Holy ****. Thats too much ****in money to spend for an event. Seems like they got too greedy or thought the public would be too ****** and still buy. Maybe both

There's still the final press conference, the weigh-in, and, of course, Mayweather putting McGregor to sleep on fight night.

Not surprising. I figured the hype would rise around press tour and then start to fizzle. They shoulda saved millions of that hype moneyand made it affordable. I mean ppl dont pay $5000 dollars even for the great pt barnum shows lol.

actually 5% of 20,000 tickets is 1,000 and this article states there are thousands (plural) still available so it's probably more like 30-40% left. It's just not moving as fast as Canelo-ggg which has been sold out for several weeks
