Cruz won the first fight decisively no need to do it again. Mares will get beat and worse in the rematch. Mares is not the fighter he was 5 years ago that Gonzalez fight took a piece of his soul.

What are you talking about? There have been way better fights and match ups than the ones you've listed this year and better ones to come.

It's a rematch no one was asking for as Santa Cruz already beat him convincingly.

If you're happy with this then thats fine, but not everyone will be.

no one asked for manny vs bradley 3 times on ppv either! No one is asking for joshua vs wlad on rematch ppv either dummy! This rematch is better than all those! Plus it wont be ppv.... Stop crying like a housewife

My how times have changed. Would Donaire even be in the top 200 pound for pound at this point? Lol
I honestly felt Donaire warranted a P4P spot. Nishioka, Mathebula, Vázquez Jr, Arce, Narvaez, Montiel, Darchinyan, Sidorenko, Marquéz, Concepción... Donaire was on a juggernaut run, near enough cleaned out everybody bar a dream fight VS Mares

I feel people forget how sick resume was because of the lacklustre post Rigondeaux section of his career whereby he abandoned everything that made him great and opted to become a one punch hitter

Rematch is happening because the WBA want to consolidate the belts that the pair own into one WBA championship. Basically a mandatory for Santa Cruz.

Fight should have happened months ago imo boxing pisses about with its schedule

Again comparing it to other fights that wasn't asked for doesn't make this fight any better.

I'm not crying, i just dont get the excitement for it.

Wow its not PPV so it must be good!

            Solid logic there my friend.

Santa Cruz will beat him again. We've seen him come up with a better game plan against a fighter that beat him so he'll tweak it even more for Mares.

I would like to see Santa Cruz against Russell.

In all fairness he won titles in 3 weight classes. Had he gone back down after the PDL win to his more natural weight class he would've been done much better career wise.
