the fact is, any random Thai or Japanese fighter could become champion in these lower weight classes.

This is not a fair comment to make about the lighter-weights : Charles Martin became HW champion of the world, Jeff Horn, Yori Foreman, Liam Smith! Julius Indongo 'Unified' at 140 vs. bum Ricky Burns!!! there are plenty of examples for the higher weight classes and these boxers mentioned were not Olympic Goldmedalist like Zou Shiming also keep in mind Shimming was dominating the fight before the stoppage so its not like some random bum came in and was as skilled.

I see this pattern on NSB by the casuals you guys are missing out on great fighters : the best fight the best here below 122 more often than the higher weights because unlike welterweight like some bums like Kell Brook these guys cant make a decent living beating up bums.
