Bottom line they've both been well managed but Canelo has fought tougher competition. It's just that the media and HBO has made Golovkin into some sort of monster because they want him to be the next big star in boxing. But this matchup, against a guy who has only just moved up, is his biggest test by far. That says a lot. We'll see who's better.
Yes, he beat jacobs who was far bigger than the two guys you mentioned. he was fighting on the backfoot and has a lot more power than Lara and Trout. It didnt stop GGG finding him with his jab and it didnt stop GGG dropping him and ultimately beating him.

Funny how Tom Loeffler tweeted that Canelo had a amazing KO body shots in Smith or funny how Sanchez didn't mention that Alvarez was Abel to push Chavez Jr. around with a. Pull counter... yeah definitely a slapper... whereas Abel is a flapper

before Barrera, Sanchez said that Ward was too small for 175..... and he also said that Barrera/Kovalev would be a better fight than Ward/Kovalev, because Ward has faded and was not good enough to be competitive with Sergey

Yea but in the eyes of most Ward 1-1 with Kovalev... and 2-1 at 175

I will never understand how fights can be awarded to boxers who land less clean punches by a decent margin If it's 5-6 punches maybe other than that it's BS

It suppose to be hit and not get hit so whoever's doing the less hitting should be the 1 taking the L.

Canelo can ****ing crack man. I don't know why Sanchez can't keep his mouth shut.

Team Canelo, ya'll want to win this fight? Re-watch the Jacobs fight and listen to Sanchez in between rounds. Why has no one brought up the fact that during that fight, Sanchez gave away the basis of GGG's attack?
