What's best for HBO is to spend no money and minimize the amount of people that see AJ.

So PPV is perfect for what they're hoping to accomplish.

It's best to familiarize Joshua with a lot more of the American audience.

The American PPV portion of Joshua-Klitschko 2 won't have many buys and means less people in the U.S. will get to see Joshua.

HBO had an agreement with Showtime that they would broadcast the live showing of the rematch and Showtime broadcasts the replay.

If I was HBO I would stick to that and broadcast the live fight instead of negotiating a PPV split.
If HBO isn't willing to re-negotiate, why in the **** would Showtime even allow the fight to happen?

Could put the kibosh on the whole thing, have Joshua fight Pulev on Showtime/Showtime International, and continue the push towards heavyweight unification on Showtime.

Who cares? There's no heavyweight champion, a bunch of pretenders.

From the first Joshua-Klitschko fight HBO and Showtime made an agreement that HBO would broadcast the live fight for the rematch and Showtime would broadcast the delayed replay.

I'm just thinking of the 45% take the promoters get, the 45% the MSO's get and the 10% the distributors get.

That would be 5% HBO, 5% Showtime.

For a fight in the U.S. that will get low PPV numbers it doesn't make sense to me. Fights like Floyd-Pac and Lewis-Tyson made sense because of the big PPV numbers
              they did.

But in any event, if they do put this fight on PPV I'll support it. I'll buy it, even though their PPV numbers will be low.

But as you mentioned, this might be all for not. Klitschko still hasn't decided on whether he wants to fight Joshua again or not. So we may very well end up getting Joshua-Pulev, Lol.

Doesn't matter if HBO makes money. It's better than spending money to put the fight on HBO when they have no money for boxing and the fight is just going to enhance AJ, which SHO keeps afterwards. Why would HBO want to spend a bunch of money to build SHO's fighter? Why would HBO want to use their primary platform to build SHO's fighter?

HBO believes Klitschko will lose. HBO believes Klitschko will retire after he loses. This fight taking place does not benefit HBO. HBO is better off with this fight not taking place at all. If it's going to take place, it's better for HBO if it goes on PPV, which means it won't eat into their budget and it also means fewer people will see AJ win.

Also, your numbers are incorrect. We can't assume MSO will get 45%, because they get anywhere from 30-50%, depending on how much leverage you have. It's not a standard figure.

The distributor figure is standard, but it's not 10%, it's 7.5%. Also, it's not taken off the top. The distributor gets 7.5% of what's left after the MSO takes their cut. So even if the MSO did get 45%, the distributor ends up with 4.125% of the gross, not 10%.

Whatever bro, I got those numbers pretty much correct from sources.

I believe it's better that they do not show this fight on PPV. If HBO was so worried about that then they wouldn't have agreed to the deals with Showtime in the first place so your point is moot. HBO has been taking losses left and right losing boxers, etc...I'm pretty sure they don't mind showcasing Joshua even if it's only for this rematch. They are hurting and need to showcase fights and top fighters for ratings.

If they do have it as a PPV though I'll buy it and support Joshua.

But we can agree to disagree Original Zero with your new alt WBC WBA IBF, I'm good with that.

Whatever is what children say when they are wrong. Did you not want us to post the correct information? Would you have preferred if we just let you continue to believe HBO takes 10% gross on PPVs when they really take 7.5% net? Why not thank us for educating you?

HBO believed Klitschko was going to win the first fight. They don't believe he's going to win the second fight. They're governing their behavior accordingly.

As I said, I received that info from credible sources.

What happened did you get banned as Original Zero and now created a new alt as WBC WBA IBF?

Well I don't have the time. I already know you're a psycho weirdo.

So go ahead and bet someone for $50,000 on an IQ test or ask them to fight you like you've done countless times.

I don't have time for internet nut jobs like you.

So talk to other people, because I already know about you and don't have the time to waste on waste.

With that I've said my piece, so.........
                      Later nut job
