As for Chavez, the big excuse Golden Boy used for delaying the GGG fight was to say that Canelo wasn't a true middleweight. After, the Liam Smith fight. He could have fought any of a number of middleweights to get comfortable at 160. There were plenty of guys at 160 that were beatable but could have made for a solid first step into a new division. But noooooooooo. He chooses to fight four pounds ABOVE the middleweight limit and then dangles a boatload of money in front of JCC Jr to weight drain him down from 168.
Stop making excuses for him. I am proud Canelo finally sacked up but lets not pretend he wasn't going out of his way to push the fight off into the future.

These "terms" where just *icking around at the edges. The biggest obstacle was always the weight issue. What made the negotiations easy wasn't the finanical flop of the GGG/Jacobs PPV but Canelo finally admitting he was too fat to make 154.

Canelo then fought kahn 8lbs heavy,bîtch ggg cried he was fighting lil guy, then days later signs vs BROOK & made him jump 12 lbs.
Then bîtch GGG forced a 15 day purse bid deadline where he was set to receive 45% split despite Canelo being Cash cow LINEAL & ggg being hypejob nobody with a gifted VACANT belt ILLEGALLY gifted by Sulaimán.
The Cotto fight took place on 11/21/15 he signed to fight GGG 1 yr 3 months after winning belt from Cotto. For you to try to twist up that into somehow aging a old no resume hypejob is pathetic. And Since Canelo vacating GGG fought aTiny glass Skull for 3 mil flat zero ppv,& Jacobs his mandatory.
He's had a offer that entire time as acknowledged by lolffler for 15mil+small ppv upside, but wanted more MONEY. He claimed to "only want the belts, not money" but that only applies to glass skull ww apparently,as he signed 4 flat rate 3 mil no ppv upside but vs a chunky jmw same height as brook he "deserved at least 40%,im the "champ"".
So now lil gimps like u will cry he aged an old ass no resume,no fans having hypejob by signing to fight him 1 yr 3 mos after Winning the LINEAL MW title which ggg has yet to even face an actual non vacant undefended belt champion.
Keep crying doe thats a good look 4 fŕgggs.
1. First of all, **** catchweights. If you're holding the middleweight belt and demanding middleweights meet you at a lower catchweight to make the fight then you are a straight up b!tch. A b!tch is still a b!tch whether they come from Puerto Rico (Cotto) or Mexico (Canelo).
2. Second, the Khan and Brook comparison only makes sense if you completely ignore how those fights were made. GGG and Chris Eubanks Jr promoter had both an HBO television slot and a venue locked in for a certain date. The idea was for GGG to fight Chris Eubanks Jr. Chris Eubanks Jr dragged his feet with demands even his own promoter considered ridiculous. These demands put the entire show at risk. So Chris Eubanks Jr's promotered offered the same deal Eubanks Jr got to Kell Brook and Kell Brook accepted. In order to avoid delaying the fight GGG settled for Brook. Canelo didn't settle for Khan. Canelo is the A-side. He chooses who he fights. He chose Khan. Also, lets not forget that even though both guys fought welterweights one of those guys spent almost his entire career at welterweight, fought at 154 previously and beat a legit top 147er for a belt. Hint hint. It wasn't Canelo's guy.
3. GGG didn't force the purse bid. The two sides couldn't come to terms and so the purse bid was set up as per the rules of the sanctioning body. All Canelo's side had to do was up their offer to avoid the purse bid. They chose instead to drop the belt. Also, the purse bid has nothing to do with PPV splits. That still would have had to be negotiated. Canelo would have gotten more money out of the from the PPV split than he would have gotten from his portion of the purse bid.
4. The Cotto fight had **** all to do with the GGG fight so when it took place doesn't matter. The only significance of that fight was that it made GGG a mandatory opponent for Canelo. Canelo chose to p*ssy out and push the fight into the future rather than fight GGG next.
5. Loeffer never acknowledged the specifics of the offer. The only one who offered specifics was the cowards who pushed the fight back. And the offer did not have a PPV split. De La Hoya offered a lot of money guaranteed in order to convince GGG's side not to take a PPV split GGG's team said they'd be willing to take less money up front for a piece of the PPV. Get your facts straight.Last edited by yankees7448; 07-27-2017, 11:58 AM.
