I mean GGG vs Ward has been talked about since 2013. The early times when narratives were being born that no other 160 Champs wanted to fight GGG. Seems to me the best closure K2 and gang ever got was when Alvarez came into the picture. Martinez and Cotto were K2's flavor yet Industry didn't Troll articles about Martinez as much as they did for Alvarez who wasn't even fighting at 160...
Alvarez has never in his career received negative press about fighting another fighter until he won the 160 WBC. He was even getting heat by industry before the Cotto bout regarding GGG should he win the new Middleweight strap.
His fight hype interview in Q4 2015 before fighting Cotto he said he would love to fight GGG either at his current weight 155, or else he literally said he needed 1-2 years to get to Middleweight. It's now Middleweight season for Alvarez.
Alvarez is the only boxer to have kept his word consistently with his timeline verbatim. How come Alvarez doesn't get the benefit of the doubt with anything? The guy comes off super humble, he is ridiculed for saying the most basic things other boxers say such as being "ready," and yet doesn't act like Floyd...
Alvarez vs GGg has been a responsibly made bout by K2 and GBP. How many other fights haven't happened or were far more delayed?
The logical answer is that a carry over swarm of boxing fans apply their cravings from PAC to GGG, so we get infallibility or dogmatic situations from posters like the PAC phase...
I mean it's been 2 years for a fight we've been wanting to see. How many years passed since Ward vs GGG was talked about? Alvarez was never even above GGG or Ward in rankings. Or am I wrong, GGG fans are not related to PAC?
Karma is coming boys. You know how we do.
