Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Inks Promotional With Ringstar Sports

Four-division world champion Nonito Donaire will join forces with Ringstar Sports as the international boxing star attempts to add another world championship to an already illustrious list of career accomplishments. "Exploring what was out there in the new landscape of boxing was unnerving and exciting at the same time," said Nonito Donaire, "I have known Richard for many years and have always respected what he has been able to do for the fighters he promotes. At this point in my career I want the biggest fights possible and Richard's track record to deliver them speaks for itself. The thought of the mega-fights against the likes of Mares, Santa Cruz, Selby or Frampton gets my blood boiling. The next chapter of my career is starting now and I am excited to say that it is with Ringstar! I am grateful to my fans and team for their continued support!"

Donaire's a cool guy! met him out here in the bay a couple of times - even been to some of his open workouts. wish nothing but the best for him. That being said... i don't see him beating any of the top guys.

Donaire isn't what he used to be, but still a nice lil pickup by Ring Star.

Schaefer ain't f#cking around. Looking forward to his moves over the next 2-3 years based on what he's done already & where his younger guys are at under his direction around that time. I was saying Schaefer would be a player when he got back in the game with a few years under his belt, but I think with his connection to the WBSS he's already gotten back to player status in the game.
