It would be awesome to watch a PPV at a movie theatre, too bad it's only in the U.S as I would do that. I'm going to watch it with some friends. Best way to do it, and I can make even more money off the deluded McGregor fans that way

Everything in my area is $40-45 per ticket. Doesn't really make sense unless you're a loner. If you're at least bringing your girl that's $80-90 with no liquor unless you sneak in a couple airplane bottles. Might as well just enjoy it from the comfort of your own home for $100 at that point. Save on gas and drink all you want.
I've been to the movies for Mayweather-Maidana I & II and Canelo-Lara. Those were all $20-25 per ticket which was a lot more reasonable.Comment

Not sure who's a bigger clown - Mayweather or *****... they should conduct a poll on twitter on this question.Comment

Between T-Mobile Arena and the closed circuits on MGM Resorts properties, you're likely talking about 40,000+ people paying MGM Resorts in Las Vegas (with that number going up in Vegas once you count the strip clubs and off strip casinos likely paying to air the fight; fully expecting a blackout of the fight from any other casino on the strip).
To that you can add the 3m+ homes that will buy the fight on PPV, another 3,000-4,000 bars/clubs that will pick up the fight across the country, and the theaters picking up the closed circuit (not sure the type of interest folks are expecting, but Fathom usually commits 1 viewing room to the fight, which likely seats 300 people if things still out).
Find whatever option works best for you, but note that folks are being given every possible way to enjoy the fight, with a quality picture/sound, without stealing it, lolComment

I don't that Fathom charges anywhere near $40, tbh. Like the prior times that they've run the closed circuit in the theater, they'll likely price it like a regular movie ticket ($15-$20), make some money off of the ticket (I have no doubt that boxing gets to them at a cheaper price than the film blockbusters), but make a killing off of the concessions.
They'll likely be some of the comicon-type stuff to deal with, but you'll likely see a lot of "mom/dad taking their two boys out to see the fights" going on too.
If you can't get to a fight party, Fathom Events still let's you have a party, without having to come out of pocket $200+ (even still, for the tickets and snacks, said family of four is still out $100-$150 on the fight, depending on what they get to snack on)Comment
