Well he beat Jacobs by outboxing him. I was more impressed with Golovkin out boxing Jacobs rather than knocking him out. That shows his versatility. Brook was a top welterweight champion that Golovkin handled easily. Lemieux a hard puncher that G simply outboxed with his jab. I really don't see any way Canelo can beat Golovkin he sure as hell can't outbox him. I think his best chance is to go all out for three rounds and try to KO Golovkin or cut him with a punch.

Charlos good, but JRock hadn't fought anyone in the top 15,and let's face it, he was chinny.Trout is he's best win. Good fight. Dunno if he takes over yet. Saunders, Jacobs or Lemieux would be a good litmus.
You like his style but he is not the best? Okay, I can respect that....but he wouldn't beat many good fighters. And Pirog did NOT "pull out" he got injured (back) in training (training that hard he would of K.O.'d lil g) AND he was stripped by the wbo because HE chose to fight the wbo & ibo champion golovkin. As for Charlo lil g & team will do all in his power NOT to fight him, I think nelo & team would avoid him to. And Trout was a good win, Trout a solid opponent. Jrock, lemieux, saunders all c level. Oh, & Pirog had to retire cuz his back injury....

Lol....no he didn't outbox Jacobs, that was apparent when lil g knockout streak ended. Why? Jacobs. They gave him the fight to make the $nelo$ fight which we have in sept. And he had trouble with Brook (if Brook was a natural middleweight lil g would of been in more trouble...lol) it wasn't "handled easily". Now how do you compare lemieux to nelo? Lemieux is wack. Nelo is more skilled than lil g, how do you make that mistake? Lol. lil g has the power not skill. All nelo has to do is box not go all out, that is what will get you knocked out! Lol....if nelo wins its on the cards & if lil g wins its by K.O. no other way unless they rob nelo like they did Jacobs but I doubt it....

Hey your entitled to you opinion but all Canelo has over Golovkin is his hand speed. Golivkin cuts off the ring better, is a better ring general and hits harder. He also has a knack of getting his opponents to the ropes and Canelo has a habit of going there anyway. I think Gennady style is all wrong for Canelo.

Get off Canelo's nuts. If Golovkin didn't look like poop he wouldn't be fighting him. Canelo hasn't taken a risk since Lara. If he beats Golovkin he should be kissing Danny's ass for showing him how.

Hold on, I didn't imply Pirog pulled out of the fight with a fake injury. It was real because he retired with it. But the fight was agreed and he pulled out, not Golovkin, who was ready to fight. Would've been a good fight. But it doesn't support the narrative of Golovkin avoiding tough fights does it? Eubank, much as I dislike him, is a tough fight for anyone, and we wouldve got that too, if not for Snr. So we got Brook. Then we had Jacobs, on a good knockout streak. Now we have Canelo. Nothing wrong with that opposition. Now, I'm not saying middle is a great division. Light middle was. But Charlo fighting Trout, who is decent, isn't proof he's the number one at middle. We gotta see that. He didn't prove he was the leading guy at 154 either. Andrade or Canelo could debate that. I'd like to see him fight a decent middleweight, even a so called C leveller before I make my mind up. He looked great with JRock, but he ain't GGG or Canelo.
