I was going to watch It but the reviews were terrible. Kind of glad I didn't now.
I'm halfway through 'Hands of Stone', and.....

Yeah I was just saying the same thing to my friend the other day. Seems like he's just cashing out these days and not giving a f*** about the craft.Comment

Yep, good explanation. It did have sort of a cheesiness to it. You could just tell they were hit on all the typical fights, and moments, and do it so obviously. There was seriously no depth, or authenticity about this movie, at all. It was just poor kid, awesome skills, now he's a successful boxer, seemed like literally in 5 minutes, no build up, nothing, then the Leonard fight, and end of movie.Comment

And I didn't even go in expecting anything. Didn't read any reviews, wasn't building this movie up in my head. I just literally had a snap moment last night, and remembered about the movie, checked to see if there was a ******* for it yet, or if it was even released yet, surprisingly it was, and I kind of got a, this movies gonna suck, feeling, when I saw that it was released in 2016, and I never heard a single thing about it.Comment

And yeah, Deniro just seemed lazy and like he didn't give a single **** about this movie. Seemed like he owed the director a favor for something.Comment

Movie was okay, but nothing special.
It's worth a one time watch, but that's about it. Just seemed like a typical lazy Hollywood cash grab that just went through the motions without any real effort to give the audience a better idea of what Duran was about.
The funny thing is it was actually better than I thought it would be because I had the feeling that it would be totally ****ty. It wasn't totally ****ty, just average at best.
And no scene of Duran ko'ing a horse. I was let down by that. LolLast edited by Willy Wanker; 07-25-2017, 02:36 AM.Comment

I dont understand why anyone would believe this movie was going to be any good, even the trailers looked cheap.
I barely watched half hour and turned off.Comment
