what was he doing turning his back hmmm straw man since he wasnt turning his back so why would i respond to that?
why not focus on what actually happened instead of making things up? kov was hurt, was moving around and slipping most the shots ward threw, ward threw 3 low blows, and the fight was stopped. did low blows become legal when a fighter is hurt? is it like the finishing move or something?
Have a good night.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 07-24-2017, 11:29 PM.Comment

you just arent getting the whole point. everything the ref did favored the a-side even if it was illegal. yes the ref told him to fight on but what is the proper thing to say given he was just hit low? no. no it was not. the ref stopped the fight after several low blows.was it the right thing to do? no. no it was not but because the ref did it, its ok in your mind? thats kind of the whole problem. the ref/judges etc...are favoring certain guys and letting them do things they should not. you should be on the side of boxing not on the side of one particular fighter that you like because next time corruption/incompetence like this could come back to hurt the guy you likeLast edited by daggum; 07-24-2017, 11:49 PM.Comment

or wait your other argument was he wasnt defendign himself cept you leave out because he was hit low and in pain. basically once again saying its ok to do illegal things if you have your opponent in trouble. i dont agreeComment

he prob meant in the first fight after ward got hurt. but there is no point in debating. you show a picture of ward hitting kovalev way low and the other side just says its not low. its the new trump style of debating. deny deny deny and hope you have a big enough fan base to deny wtih you
Then, in round 7, Ward got his second wind and Kovalev was the one who was looking tired, but he was in no worse shape than Ward had been in till he was hurt by 2 punches to the lower part of his waistband, which Weeks had ruled illegal in round 2.
While he was still hurt by those "borderline" shots, Kovalev was stunned by a punch to the head, but he didn't go down and seemed to have shaken that punch off when Ward threw the rule book out of the window and started blatently punching him below the belt.Comment

oh you meant after ward hit him with a low blow in round 7. yes thats why he turned his back. because he got hit low. weeks telling him to fight on made no sense because weeks earlier in the fight said the same shot was low so you can understand why kovalev wanted the ref to follow his own instuctions! you are once again blaming the guy being fouled instead of the guy doing the fouling or the ref for his inconsistency. a clearly biased way of seeing things.
