After seeing that happen, right in front of the ref's eyes ... yes, damned right I believe it.
Do you have a better explanation?Comment

If Don Kings "Baddest Man on the Planet" Iron Mike Tyson couldn't get his loss to Buster reversed (Buster was given way over 10 seconds when floored) than this **** is never happening.
Still, it was horrible for boxing to see that travesty. Kova was ****ed walking into this fight. Jay Z & Beyonce are one of those nutcase *** advocates. Kova making black jokes in that Roc Nation promotion environment pretty much means he is going to be made an "example" out of. Plus with Kova being a "racist" to his respected trainer and being Russian (Jay Z is a massive ******* ********..)essentially means no rules, take him out. It's just boxing though. Always dirty **** happening whether Holyfield head butts all through his career, Ali snot rocketing on opponents, Maidana nut checks, etc etcComment

every boxer should sign with them. remember when they offered broner 40 million dollars? they got money to spend and they clearly do not care about profits. they gave ward 5 million dollars for a fight that was predicted to do 200k buys. if they had to bribe people im sure they would but in boxing i think the bribing is just assumed when a promoter has a money fighter. the judgs gave ward round 10 for some unknown reason. were they bribed who knows but they got it wrong. tony weeks got it wrong but hes got it wrong many times before. same with kenny bayless. whenever these guys get it wrong it always favors the guy with the money though. maybe they are just envious of them? kidna like poor people voting **********. someday i will be rich too!Last edited by daggum; 07-24-2017, 10:54 PM.Comment

Bottom line - Watch the last minute before it was stopped and ask yourself "Did Kovalev look like someone who could still win the fight at that point?". I agree the stoppage looked a bit quick, but Ward landed lots of unanswered punches before it got stopped and Kovalev wasn't throwing back/defending himself.Comment

yes he almost bit his finger off. images of this gruesome injury never came out though. unfortunate. we got stuck with 12 straight rounds of clinching so even if maidana lightly bit him, it was nothing compared to the advantage bayless let him get away with from the nonstop clinching.Comment

when did he quit though? the ref stopped the fight after he was low blowed several times. was floyd a quitter when judah and maidana roughed him up? what if the ref had stopped teh fight? i guess so according to you. or wait its different because..............why? same thing happened but 2 different results depending on who was the a-side. thats the whole problem here but some people are happy with that kind of unequal treatment.
I saw many fights stopped because of that. It means you are defenseless and don't want it anymore. If anything, Weeks gave him a chance. He could've stopped the fight right there and then.
Kovalev quit, end of the story.Comment

So you saw a couple of low blows and that convinced you the fight was fixed? There must be a sh"t ton of fixed fights that have happened then

this wasnt ray mercer-tommy morrison like you are pretendign. he was wobbled and slipping most the shots until he got low blowed and doubled over. its not that it was stopped early. it was stopped on a foul. 2 different things.Comment
