I know this sounds weird coming from me but I 'm not so sure that JLC will win!

He did it in both of their fights, and If he has not worked on that, he will be feeling many left hooks. But I think Corrales is smarter than that, he may come in with a different plan and succeed. He needs to box more like he used to. He knows how to use angles and jab very well, but as of late, he seems to go hook happy and remains pretty stationary. brawling with a fighter like Castillo will not be a smart idea, as Castillo has the better chin.

My speculation is, if Corrales fights smart, he will win, if he fights inside, he will be KOed again.

At first I thought castillo would easily run over corrales (he seems old now). But now that I think of it, Corrales can win if he switches up his style and uses his jab more. right now Im split between castillo by ko or corrales by decision

I'd like to see Corrales use his jab more often, he seldom uses it. He is also very stationary, and he cannot afford to take punches that cut through his guard against a puncher like Castillo.

I dont know about you guys, but I did not know who Castillo was until he fought Casamayor. Now Corrales is an underdog? The feeling I get is that if he gets into another war he will probaly come close or lose. If he boxes, he will have a rather easy time like Castillo had the 2nd fight.

a split decision is the only way for this outstanding trilogy to end, IMO. I also think Carrales will win. the deciding factor IMO is whether or not he gets rocked on the chin like he did in the first fight.

Carrales seems supremely confident, but after a 9 month layoff or something like that, it could prove tough.

Lets hope carrales sticks to the inside fighting, for entertainments sake.

I also think the win will determine who gets off the cleaner shots. Carrales got off the cleaner shots in the first fight, but got knocked by one huge punch in the 10th. So he won becuase he hit cleaner and more accurate, IMO of coarse

In the second fight, Carrales hit cleaner, but with less frequency ans castillo. Castillo had more clean punches, and he won.

If carrales can land those outstanding 4 punch combos to the head like he did in the first fight, i can really see him pulling this win off with relative ease.

Of coarse, the great chin and speed of castillo will be standing in his path to victory.

This has been bothering me for a while, Ive seen a couple of your posts refering to Corrales, but you spell his name Carrales every time. its pronounced Core-ah-lez, and spelled with an O not an A.

But anyway, Corrales needs a different game plan than he brought in the first and second fight. He needs to box more and move more. Being a stationary target against a man with a great arsenal of punches like Castillo will be ineffective, and will cause him to lose. Most likely he will go mano a mano with Castillo. Castillo has had a very difficult time making 135, and if he does make weight, he may be drained and weak.

If Castillo really prepared for this fight I don't see him struglling to make weight. He could have shaved those extra pounds gradually in such a way that it won't be hurting his body. If not, then he is really in trouble.

Corrales will only box until his natural instincts kick in and force him to trade with JLC. He's not gonna win this fight boxing so he's gonna have to brawl and in the end JLC will be the one standing.
