You are probably right that McGregor would beat Mayweather in a street fight. He's bigger and younger, for a start and Floyd can no longer punch hard because of his fragile hands. But while very few boxers would excel in MMA without extensive training and experience, that does not mean they would also lose in a street fight. MMA is not even close to street fighting and many of its rules disadvantage boxers more than others. For a start, there are the gloves. If, say, GGG hit McGregor with one well-placed punch without gloves that would be fight over. Those 4oz gloves soften the blows. MMA also bans headbutts, groin strikes, blows to the back of the head and eye gouging, all of which are, unfortunately, part of the skill set of the average boxer. In addition, most top boxers have a past in street fighting. A real street fight between McGregor and someone of his size and level (say, GGG or Canelo) wouldn't be a sure thing for the MMA man at all.
