Pedvetkin has been suspended by the WBC! the WBA-WBO-IBF are the sanctioning bodies that have ignored his drugs violations in reinstating him into their rankings even handing him minor titles for his last fight!, you know I mentioned uninformed fans in this very same thread and then you come out with this ****** comment...wtf?Comment

The many gullible ppl on here are going to be very disappointed when the SUPPOSED Ortiz fight doesn't happen and becomes just another Wilder scheme to make it look like hes trying to fight someone of relevance .
Stiverne 2 is coming and Haymon wont let Ortiz near Wilder unless that is a last option .Comment

as much as i hate stiverne(which is alot), some of yall comments are getting out of hand. after joshua, wilder, wlad, and ortiz, a case can be made that bermane stiverne (as inactive as he is) is the 5th best heavyweight in the world today. remember stiverne lost to a 6ft 7 man with a 84 inch reach and 97%ko ratio. if parker was in the ring with stiverne, parker would get floored in 7rds
Really think to yourself "wilder is understandable, but why would alexander povetkin feel the need to take steroids leading up to a fight against bermane stiverne?". there was obviously something about stiverne that made povetkin feel like he needed a extra boost or extra edge and lead to him taking roids.Comment

That said, I'm far from blind. I've been annoyed with Wilder's level of competition almost from jump. He pretty much fought nobody the first 25-30 fights of his career. They used the excuse that he was late to the sport, which is true, to an extent. The guy won an Olympic bronze medal. Late to the sport or not. An Olympic medalist shouldn't need 20 club fighters to get his feet wet. And since winning the belt against Stiverne, it's been pretty bad. Now I don't place all the blame on Wilder. The thing with Provetkin wasn't his fault. But Provetkin isn't the only good heavyweight out there to fight. This Ortiz thing is definitely a step in the right direction. Outside of AJ, Fury, or Wladimir, I think it's the best fight out there for him. Honestly, I'd rather he drop the belt and fight Ortiz than have to see another Stiverne fight.Comment

Sighning someone only gives you more control who they fight . Haymon risking a Wilder vs Joshua mega fight ? He would soon just waste a whole year in a court room battle with Stiverne which he basically is doing now ,buying time in hopes a Joshua fight could happen late 2018 /2019 with less risk and Ortiz is a risk.Comment
