I think Manny should forget the Horn rematch (thus ditching Arum) and work on making a Khan fight in the UK. That would make just as much money. And if he can convince Khan to fight in the Philippines, that would be a great way to cap a HoF career.

He printed off rematch posters before the fight even happened

Manny's contract expired after the 1st Bradley fight and there was a lot of talk about him leaving at the time. He wanted the Mayweather fight but Bob didn't, so thinking he might leave Arum screwed him over to make him stay put. He couldn't fight Floyd coming off a loss (no matter how controversial) so he re-signed.

The Bobfather doesn't give a f"ck about Bradley, it was all about putting Manny back in line and showing him who's boss. It worked like a charm. Something similar undoubtedly happened with Horn, Bob's like "You ain't retiring or leaving me without a loss first kid". Bob controls him like a puppet master. Sad but true

Damn right. His advisor (Michael Koncz) works for The Bobfather.

Sad to say but he really doesn't know any better than to trust these guys, and because The Bobfather helped make him a multi millionaire after growing up poor he will always be loyal to him no matter what. It's understandable from that standpoint, even though he's a total crook Bob has done a lot for Manny.

I'll probably get torched for this post as a delusional Pac stan who's putting on his conspiracy theory tin foil cap and just making another far fetched bull**** excuse, but whatever, in addition to the very real Bob Arum conspiracy angles -- let's just say that I would not be surprised if Pacquiao's comments about h0mosexuals didn't factor in for a judge or two.

Let's be real in today's world comments like that are taken very harshly, particularly if one falls on one side of the political fence. Certain people will not easily forget comments such as the ones that Pacquiao made.

Now go ahead and roast me for this as a

who knows maybe I am completely delusional

and for the record I'm not saying this as something I think as fact...I just wouldn't be surprised. All I'm sayin'

Forget Pacquiao. How about Horn? Who was Horn before this fight? Never heard of him! Clean cut white kid! Potential Rocky story! The setup was in to give Horn a good chance of pulling off a victory. The ref was the major help. Judges gave a home crowd decision. Wasn't difficult for the judges, since the fight was competitive. But this was all about Horn. Pacquiao is yesterday's story for Arum. But who isn't salivating about that rematch???? I'd sure love me to see that white boy do the monkey crawl!

Yeah, the thread starter seems to be into conspiracy theories. If Arum wanted to rob Pacquaio so that he could make Horn vs Crawford, so that Crawford can become a big star,...well that's a pretty @ss backwards and convoluted way of trying to go about things. Also, Crawford won't get the same fanfare and acclaim if he beats Horn....It would be a helluva lot more prestigious to beat Pacquaio.

First of all we can all agree that Pacquiao is way past his prime at this point. Me personally, I wish he just retires and stop fighting all together.

The main reason why he was robbed was because of Bob Arum. The reason why was because Manny Pacquiao's people were making it very difficult to make a Terrance Crawford/Pacquiao fight because his people knew that fight would be extremely difficult for Manny at this point. They would rather get fights they knew they would win and collect a check. Now at this point Bob has no incentive to let this go on at this point and from a business stand point why would he?

We all know that Bob is searching for his next PPV star to milk and Terrance Crawford is his main candidate but we all know you need the right platform and that would have been a Manny Pacquiao PPV to launch Crawford into stardom. Since the fight looked like it wasn't going to get made, how can Bob milk this another way?

How about robbing Pacquiao vs joe shmoe and let Terrance Crawford fight him? Bob recently stated his interested in a fight between horn and crawford so this make sense. Do you believe as well this was the main reason why Pacquiao was robbed that night?
Manny Pacquiao lost to Jeff Horn, for the same reason he got beat by Tim Bradley, flattened by JMM, and has largely looked pedestrian for his last 5-6 fights; for whatever reason, Manny Pacquiao can't give you more than a hard minute to minute and a half in any round of a fight.

Pacquiao flashes in spurts, but then leave the bulk of the round as dead space, where fighters with any kind of ability have the chance to fill the space with activity.

Leave enough debatable rounds in the lurch, and you set yourself up to getting beat.
