He promotes Floyd more than he does his own fighters.

This man is just so jealous and bitter.

First Oscar taxed that ass in the ring, then the tax man cometh to finish that ass off. Floyd is broke and will need a loan from Oscar

I could have told you that. People want knockouts not boring run decisions. MMA fans want boring run decisions

This is definitely starting to sound salty. Instead of giving Floyd and May-Mac more attention, he needs to focus on bringing more attention toward Canelo-GGG.

Oscar needs to stop with the revisionist crap. Mayweather was making noise when he beat Corrales and Gatti. He didn't need to reinvent himself as a "villain" as he claims. He was a HBO staple by then. Oscar is making it sound like his fight against Mayweather is what made him famous, like he owes his success to Oscar. And it's not even about the loss, he just resents Mayweather diverting all the attention away from the Canelo fight.

This is obviously just sour g****s from Oscar, but I don't think he's necessarily wrong. I think Mayweather's brand and the cult of personality that goes with him has turned into something of a circus since the Pacquiao fight. He's a great, great fighter, probably the best of the modern era, but he's continuing to hog the limelight long after his prime has passed and even after he officially retired. The McGregor fight in particular is a clown show that's casting a long shadow over other fights that arguably deserve to be in the spotlight much more.

That said, Oscar's insistence that Mayweather's money-first approach has spoiled the sport is a total crock. Ever since boxing has been a professional sport, money will always have been on the mind of the contestants, the only difference between them and Mayweather is that Mayweather says it up front. Even then, bragging about money has always been Mayweather's schtick and that of his wannabes like Broner. I can't say I can even think of any other prominent examples of fighters being vocally obsessed with money in the same way, though obviously its their actions, such as ducking certain fights in favour of others, that betrays them instead. But then again, that's nothing new, fighters have been ducked all the way back to when the mob ran the sport and probably back even further than that.

oscar shut your salty ass up. at least hes finally given us ggg vs canelo. let floyd be, he has nothing to do with you or your business. why cant all the promoters get along and give us quality fights. i think hearn is the best promoter because he puts his fighters in the limelight and is not a ego whore like oscar or arum. even floyd is a good promoter, id never heard of gervonta davis and now hes a world champ. hes got guys like badou jack, ishe smith, j'leon love title shots. anyway i digress, but these promoters (arum and DLH) should focus on their fighters and make the best match-ups instead of hating and constantly bickering to the press. floyd-conor is a joke but its a massive event which brings casuals into the sport and generates tons of revenue, which is gooood for boxing and combat sports in general.
