When they say Nelo has had better opposition means Alvarez has a good chance to make it his fight, plain and simple. The more serious likelihood is that Alvarez is going to win on the cards, debatable from many as some really believe the judges will be bought either way, and hardly giving Nelo the benefit of the doubt that it was his skills like the way Kova Ward 1 had controversy about chaning the pace and the skillsets.

This is why I believe Alvarez will try his best for a KO since he's aware of his pedestal for boxing. This will be his third best performance imo from Trout to Cotto to GGG. This will be his moment to shine as an ATG Mexican great the way Marquez KO'd Pacquiao, and without a series in front of Alvarez, the win will be Golden.

Alvarez has shown way to finish. He isn't that shy as Adonis Stevenson's power, the difference is that Alvarez isn't the type of lunge all the time with crazy crosses, but that power is there if he can go all balls out like Barrera vs Morales.

It will be a great match

Canelo is an adaptive fighter. His defensive footwork wasn't even the same as when he fought Lara, Trout or Cotto. So is that Alvarez changing footwork in game or is it his handlers watching tapes?

I don't buy that he has "no footwork" because if Alvarez moves like Peterson come Sept I can almost guarantee the excuses will be "Alvarez was running" the same narrative used on Floyd, Lara etc...

So the thing is, if Alvarez moves a lot in this fight will he get the credit or be discredited "as a runner?" TBH Im not worried about that. This is the Alvarez Mexican performance he knows has to be the best for his countrymen. This is the war Barrera, Morales, Marquez prerequisites that Nelo will be tested like his previous counterpart warriors. Mexicans can **** man. This fight might literally detail which boxing is superior, Mexican or Kazakh. Both countries have amazing boxing recognition, and in the Olympics the Kazakhs have more recognition.

      Peterson?

      Huh?

The point is how did Peterson perform against Garcia's style? Did Peterson "run around?" How did Herrera perform against Garcia, and who had more KO's between them?

Alvarez will have his style movement, but I expect many wil call it "running."

Alvarez can't hurt GGG and you better believe if Canelo out works Gennady, he puts himself in danger by counters and the real possibility that he gets tired and that would spell disaster against GGG.

I don't think either guy is going to be taking any chances and I see this playing out like Canelo Cotto, where everyone expects fireworks but gets a decent, competitive boxing match.

Oh ok, I just saw Peterson's name and was like huh?

I thought you meant Jacobs but typed Peterson's name by mistake.

              Fair enough.

Not possible, Canelo couldn't KO a much smaller Cotto, Mathew Hatton, Trout, Old Man Mosley, no way he could ko an iron chinned Middleweight

I'll trust that Golovkin can survive, I'm picking Canelo to win a clear decision
