It's a 50-50 fight. Anyone who says they are sure of any outcome is kidding themselves. I still lean GGG, but I also think Canelo will be unlike anything he has faced before. GGG is more skilled IMO, but Canelo is faster and will land more big shots than GGG has ever been hit with by a long shot. Canelo has faced many more quality fighters than GGG, but I don't think he's been in with a full middleweight who is as skilled as GGG.

    It's a great matchup!!!

Canelo is an adaptive fighter. His defensive footwork wasn't even the same as when he fought Lara, Trout or Cotto. So is that Alvarez changing footwork in game or is it his handlers watching tapes?

I don't buy that he has "no footwork" because if Alvarez moves like Peterson come Sept I can almost guarantee the excuses will be "Alvarez was running" the same narrative used on Floyd, Lara etc...

So the thing is, if Alvarez moves a lot in this fight will he get the credit or be discredited "as a runner?" TBH Im not worried about that. This is the Alvarez Mexican performance he knows has to be the best for his countrymen. This is the war Barrera, Morales, Marquez prerequisites that Nelo will be tested like his previous counterpart warriors. Mexicans can **** man. This fight might literally detail which boxing is superior, Mexican or Kazakh. Both countries have amazing boxing recognition, and in the Olympics the Kazakhs have more recognition.
Moving is probably the worst thing you can do against GGG. If you notice anyone who has had any sort of success has stood in front of GGG & fired first. I think the handspeed will be quite telling the 1st 4rds. IMO Canelo needs to sweep those 1st 4 rds and protect his body because he is going to lose some in the middle and if he gets hit early in the body, Id favor GGG stopping him late. But again if Canelo sweeps the first 4rds without taking to much he can afford to take a rd or 2 off. I noticed GGG gets a little wild when he is down or is getting hit clean, if Canelo stays composed himself, I can see Canelo winning 8-4 or by a late stoppage. I know people will bash me because I said Canelo will stop him late but GGG fans need to realize GGG has lost a step. Theres a reason why Canelo is fighting him now than 2 yrs ago...

Is it your hate for GGG or Canelo's dick in your mouth that makes you post this nonsense?

It could happen but it won't be due to Canelo's work rate but his boxing. Once Canelo gets hit, he won't be coming forward but waiting for GGG so he can counter. It will be a chess match as both have to be cautious!

Controversial Decision for Canelo more likely I think!

It depends how defensive Golovkin is. Canelo couldn't even hurt Cotto, which surprised me. But Golovkin can be pretty bad defensively sometimes. I can see Canelo rocking him with a counter. More than likely I see this being a fight where Canelo wins the first half and Golovkin comes on strong, most likely losing a close decision.

Agree, people are still thinking about sparring stories ..facts are that canelo is in his prime, golovkin is going out of his, golovkin was never A level, nor did he want any part of A level fighters...canelo was 20 when they sparred...kovalev said it was 50/50...he has no reason to lie. Canelo has 7 years more experience of learning because of his youth, while a guy almost 30 with 400ish amateur fights just isn't going to change much. Old habits die hard.

Alvarez also protects this guard in close counter jabs, for example like here with Brook. Alvarez has a stronger snap in a jab than Brook, way heavier handed and Nelo's using Everlast MX. There's more puff on Gennady's face.

Also Alvarez has good defensive torso defense. In this case below with Brook, Alvarez would be more aggressive with counters. For instance below, I can see Nelo using his right to tag Gennady on the face. As far as we know, Alvarez can read rather well, and has confidence to trade.

Canelo haven't KO'd a top caliber fighter before, why are people expecting it now? This is one of the few fights I can't really pick a winner. I can make a case for a victory for both of them. However, if anyone is getting KO'd, I'll say it's Canelo.

I think Canelo wins, but idk that I got much confidence in his power + workrate or much of a lack of confidence in GGG's chin or quitability in him. I think this is a ~8-4 type semi close decision for Canelo probably.
