I don't make excuses for Mayweather or Hopkins but some people are too quick to defend whoever says something racist against black people and quick to condemn whenever a black person say something,.

As far as anyone saying black people are being sensitive, there was a whole bunch of sensitive people when Mayweather made derogatory comments about Asians. Bernard Hopkins is labeled a racist for saying he would never lose to a white boy. That was a dumb statement but I never understood why people thought that was racist.
Nobody is really saying anyone is being sensitive or that its ok but we understand the context. This is a cash out fight for both men. Yeah both have had unsavory moments in their careers, personally and professionally but again let's take into context the conditions and the setting where both let rip. McGregor's greatest offense in this was bringing Floyd's family into the equation in the grand scheme of things. I'll bet every dollar I have in this world that these two are in on this from the moment the fight started being negotiated. We aren't casual fans of the sport so we should recognize what's really going on here. They are trying to legitimize the fight by creating "sides" and it's clearly working. How many mofo's were anti buying this fight until that shhhh flew out of each man's mouth? I respect that folks might take it personally and say "why go there?" but look at the two men who are fighting, did we really not expect these guys to go into this no holds barred? I'll say it as i've said in the past both these mofo's are about to laugh at the public all the way to the bank while holding hands. Anything said in the lead up to this fight should be taken with the biggest grain of salt you can find because its all about getting buys.

Totally agree with all of this mate, I expected Conor to go in on Floyd's history, taxes, women and all the name calling. I expected Floyd to call him a "b!tch" "hoe" and a quitter etc. The only thing I take exception to is the monkey comments, because that goes from insulting 1 man to insulting millions of people Floyd is also wrong for calling him a f"ggot but calling African Americans "monkeys" is just about the worst thing he could've done I don't think he's racist, but still...

I totally get that it's all just talk to promote the fight, but he really f!cked up there.

Shame on most of the media for giving him a pass for it too

Like I said, it's apart of boxing history so I'm not getting histerical about how they're selling this fight. I'm just saying McGregor is a repeat offender. After awhile you start to get the feeling that it's more real than fake. With that being said I have no problem with him if that's who he is... I just don't like the double standard when someone like Mayweather or Hopkins says something as opposed to say McGregor or Kovalev.

As far as the history of it, it's proven that you can sell plenty of fights without going that route. Joshua/Klitschko was a huge success without any talk of race. If I had to guess I would credit Klitschko for not wanting to take part in that kind of promotional tactic.

I respect that. I agree you can go the Klitschko route, who were gentlemen and professional about theirs. Ward is another one that doesn't have to go that route. These two don't operate like that though.

Mcgregor needs to stuff a potato in his mouth and shut the **** up. It's going to be a good day when people see him fall.

Why was Floyd's daughter on that stage in the first place? After the first night he brought her up hoping Conor would take it a little easier on him. Nothing but a woman-beating punk who is showing how low he will stoop for the money
