As far as anyone saying black people are being sensitive, there was a whole bunch of sensitive people when Mayweather made derogatory comments about Asians. Bernard Hopkins is labeled a racist for, saying he would never lose to a white boy. That was a dumb statement but I never understood why people thought that was racist.
People are always quick to play the "race card" bro, I actually agree that none of these guys are racist but when you call black people monkeys obviously that's the worst kind of racism. I think the moment got the better of him, but yeah he really screwed up there. Like you said he could've said a lot of other, wittier things.

B-Hop was also called racist when he threw the Puerto Rican flag on the ground vs Tito, as was Mayweather when he said he would "Make Pacquiao make me a Sushi roll". These were both provocative and unwise things to do but I wouldn't say they were quite racist. I mean, is it racist if an American says "I'm going to make that Italian guy make me a Risotto!" No it's just childish and Floyd did apologise the next day. What B-Hop did was very offensive but it achieved the desired effect in the end because Tito had the whole country on his shoulders after that incident.

The wise thing to do would be for him to just say sorry to the people who were offended by what he said. But I doubt that's gonna happen to be honest.

I know it's been a promotional rhetoric for years in boxing and other combat sports. McGregor does it too often for people to just dismiss it.

I don't make excuses for Mayweather or Hopkins but some people are too quick to defend whoever says something racist against black people and quick to condemn whenever a black person say something,.

This is very true, there's definitely a very different reaction when someone white says something racist to when someone black does it. It's like, if you're against it be against it all the time you can't condemn one guy and give another guy a pass. Another aspect of it is there's a grey area in what's actually racist and what's not. But we seem to live in an era where a black guy is racist just for bringing up race and other races can say what they want and people will defend it regardless.

You can guarantee that if Mayweather said something like that it would be everywhere and hardly anyone would put their neck out there to defend him. Not even racism let's just say discrimination in general. When Pacquiao said gay people are worse than animals how many boxing writers wrote articles condemning it?

          Almost none.

Not racist at all, the only color that they see is green.

McGregor could show up at the next presser in Klan Robes waving a copy of Mein Kampf and it wouldn't alter the significance or outcome of this pointless fight one bit.

Why are people falling for this circus act? This is all just to sell the fight! Some people ask. why even go there? That's the type of world we live in where people will gravitate towards negative things. Example, how often does news outlets report positive things? I'll wait! The funny thing is after the fight is over, Conner & Floyd will be laughing all the way to the bank & talking about how they convinced fans to pay $100 for this exhibition fight! I can't hate on these guys for trying to maximize their earnings if so call fans are naive enough to pay for the fight.

It still irks me that Floyd talks about Conor disrespecting black women and his daughter. Mother****er, you beat black women, even in front of your kids!

Mushroom Risotto or Asperagus? With Parmesan or Romano cheese?
