David Lemieux is a huge puncher. If GGG can deal with his punch, then I think Canelo only has a real shot on the cards. Although I will say that Canelo tends to land cleaner shots than Lemieux so I suppose there is a small chance of a KO. The real key to beating GGG is controlling range. Canelo can easily win if he can manage that. Jacobs had the size and Brook had the footwork to maintain that distance at times. Accuracy is the only thing I can see Canelo employing to maintain that distance. What he absolutely can not do is sit on the ropes eating bombs like the Kirkland fight. He can't stop moving for a second. Canelo can win, but it will take everything we have seen from him plus some.
Has Canelo Fought Anyone With GGG's Punching Power?

Yes that could be very true, but we dont know what range GGG will fight him at. He could just keep him at bay with the jab, if its close on the inside, canelo will probably be better there because of his hand speed and he will back GGG up. If GGG fight a patient methodical approach and cuts him off, jabs him to keep canelo at range where he cant unleash combos, then pick his spots and attack canelo he can wear him down.that is exactly what Canelo wants, he will kill GGG on the inside..WHY?? cause he has upperbody movement, faster hands and better combo's..Legs are only good to create new angles..fighters who WANT TO FIGHT ON THE INSIDE dont need legs at all..THINK JAMES TONEY... GGG cant beatr Canelo on the inside..inside is there Canelo wants to be
Just hard to say which way it will go and hard to pick a winner, thats why its a good fight i just cant wait to see how it plays out.Comment

Lol, you ever heard of feints? Both guys are getting hit to the body, facts. This ain't going to be an easy fight.
Trout, Lara and Cotto were Canelo's biggest wins. Lemieux, Brook and Jacobs were Triple G's biggest wins.
Lol, this ain't going to be an easy fight for either guy.
Both are skilled, know how to fight, have been doing this for years and years, can adjust, etc., etc...
Just being real and speaking truth.Comment

I don't think Canelo can win by KO. Based on fights where he was the bigger man against guys like Matthew Hatton, Mosley, Cotto, etc.....he couldn't knock those smaller guys out. In his fight with Angulo he hit Angulo with whatever he wanted to hit him with, the referee stopped the fight in the 10th with Angulo pissed off arguing with the referee for stopping it. Angulo was not unconscious, he was able to take Canelo's punches for those 10 rounds and didn't hit the canvas. Weight drained Chavez Jr was a walking punching bag for 12 rounds.
But I'm expected to believe Canelo will KO Triple G? Lol, yeah ok.
I mean Canelo can win on the score cards that is true. I agree with that.
It will be a good fight though. I'm glad we're talking about this fight, a real fight again instead of the circus, WWE event next month in August.
Looking forward to this fight September 16th. Hoping for a great, competitive fight where officiating is fair for both sides. If we get that, no one can complain.Comment
