It is rather suspect, but it's the nature of the game today. Which is why I say, get rid of the bans altogether. Just require full disclosure; each fighter has to know what the other plans to be doing and can choose to either match it or fight on their own merits. Guys/gals who knockout or otherwise beat dopers will get much more credit - they can even demand more money due to the unfair advantage if they win.

Because PEDs don't give you skill.
I'll check the podcast out thanks for letting me know. It's not really that surprising to me, I mean, a lot of fans turn a blind eye to doping so the promoters do the same because ultimately they need to make money regardless so it infects the whole sport. I'd like to think at some point USADA is just going to regulate the whole sport like they are doing the UFC but like you stated, it definitely hasn't helped the UFC at all from an entertainment aspect (fighters being pulled from cards at the last minute, not getting the fights you want as a result). So who knows when it will happen, it will be a lot harder to bring into boxing because there are so many different promoters so it might never happen, but it needs to happen sooner or later. It's happening in every other sport most of them anyway.

Until then guys like Heredia/Conte are going to continue to take advantage of it and make lots of money doing so. The current testing is very basic and if you know more than a bit about PED's you will be able to beat them. Can't even really hate on the fighters in that situation, it's basically "Do or Die" unless you're in a position of power to where you can demand the USADA testing protocol (Mayweather).

Definitely listen to the part about Bob Sapp, who to my recollection NEVER popped for PEDs as an MMA fighter.

I mean look at him. Full natty brah

Looks all natural to me! This guy never tested positive for years either...

          Vitor Belfort went from this...

          To this.....

I think it's safe to say that 80% of guys in boxing are doing something. Put it this way, look at all the people that cheat in harmless sports then ask yourself why they wouldn't in a sport where you're getting hit in the head. It's kill or be killed and almost everyone else is doing it so they feel they need to do it to have a chance.

Hopefully it will change at some point.

Dude looks like he was drinking Bull testosterone for breakfast or some crazy s!it Lance Armstrong did every PED under the sun and passed 100's of tests.

I remember years ago reading that Stephan Bonnar tested positive for some kind of horse steroids that weren't approved for use on Humans . Fighters in Pride didn't have to do any kind of drug testing at all in the first several years there.

He did 4 months for 2 charges. Doesn't mean he snitched on anybody. Good lawyers can make that happen!

there are so many PED's you can never be 100% but he looks completely natural.

Also conte did not create vada, he was one of numerous consultants. Does it not make sense in your ****** little minds to learn the gameplans of former test dodgers? WADA also used conte as a consultant.

I truly believe that close to 80% of athletes are on some sort of performance enhancers. Boxers I would bet are closer to 90% only the dumb ones get caught.

Victor Conte filled for the absent Flip Homansky (Margaret Goodmans boyfriend and co-founder of VADA) @ Association of Ringside Physicians conference in 2012. As a VADA spokesperson "filling in the blanks" that Margaret Goodman left out.

Video - Dr. Margaret Goodman & Victor Conte talk VADA at 2012 ARP Conference – June 2012

                      https://snac.com/videos.html

(Don't know how to embed video but there is the link and title of the video scroll down)

Sounds more than a consultant to me. How bout you? More like a spokesperson for VADA.

Nevertheless , as a "consultant for drug testing procedures for VADA" there is still a conflict of interest if the same ex-con PED guru is now running a strength and conditioning program called SNAC.

He helped create the test and tells VADA what to look for. In return Conte is basically advising athletes what they can abuse legally.

This is why WADA Athlete Biological Passport testing was created in the 1st place. Because of **** like this.
