It's so crazy how a guy with such a dirty past was able to come straight back to boxing and create his own drug testing program while still providing boxers with "supplements" and giving them "training advice". Doesn't that seem a little fishy and/or a conflict of interest? He has a drug testing program but knows more about doping than almost anyone in sports, SMH only in the sport of boxing. One of the most poorly regulated sports in the world, even now, still the wild wild west

Yeah, Conte is smart enough to beat any test. He can beat his own VADA testing. If you see the way he talks about beating tests, like saying things like "Only the dumb and the dumber get caught" you can tell he knows how to beat any test.

With that said, I think he's serious. He snitched and became a good boy.

Doesn't it set off alarm bells that he's doing both though? He knows how to beat any test, and is training guys and giving them advice. I might be a bit inclined to believe the whole "He's good now" agenda if he was doing one or the other but doing both is a clear conflict of interest. If you know how to beat any test then YOU make the test they're gonna take, it's not really a test is it? It's a cover up.

It's like referee's betting on games they're officiating

If you listen to Conte's Joe Rogan podcast he talks about how the highest levels in the boxing commissions are actually looking the other way even when top athletes are doping. That's why - they know that if they completely clean up the sport, it'll no longer be exciting. Hell, I'm surprised Briggs got popped.

It is rather suspect, but it's the nature of the game today. Which is why I say, get rid of the bans altogether. Just require full disclosure; each fighter has to know what the other plans to be doing and can choose to either match it or fight on their own merits. Guys/gals who knockout or otherwise beat dopers will get much more credit - they can even demand more money due to the unfair advantage if they win.

Because PEDs don't give you skill.

Two boxing leagues, one for the dopers and one for the clean athletes. Oh wait BKB is off the air...

He did 4 months. Who does 4 months? A snitch.

“BALCO founder Victor Conte and vice president James Valente identified Arnold as the source of a once-undetectable steroid called ‘the clear.'”

So, in this case, Victor was giving up his dealer…Patrick was the dealer, and therefore, higher up on the food chain than Victor himself. Sounds like a classic rat/snitch to me. And let’s not forget that this snitching resulted in Patrick serving prison time.

In fact, the raid on Patrick’s lab and subsequent arrest were a direct result of Victor Conte giving Pat’s name to the Feds:

“Federal agents raided Arnold’s Champaign laboratory Sept. 29, but his name was linked to BALCO two years earlier when founder Victor Conte and vice president James Valente identified Arnold as the source of the once-undetectable THG.”

                  – yet, the original indictment listed 42 seperate felonies. Ummm….42 felonies, and yet he served 4 months in prison without snitching? That’s not realistic. Just what do you think that plea deal entailed???
Well, to be honest, I never thought much of his advice on performance enhancing drugs. Everyone knows that GH is undetectable, as is insulin, so those are no-brainers. EPO is easily hidden too, for…
