Joe Rogan will do a 5 year podcast on the fight. It's ABSOLUTELY VITAL that Mayweather KOs Conor. And don't tell me a dominating win is good enough....NO!!!! casuals don't care about a points win, all they'll see is a UFC fighter going the distance and it'll put newcomers off boxing, and this is a fight purely targeted at casuals. Mayweather needs to KO Conor just as James Toney was stopped in the octagon by Randy Coutre. Nothing short of a KO is acceptable. Mayweather put himself in this situation and he has to deliver, or the ****er will have turned off more people off boxing than the millions he turned off in the Pacquiao fight.
How did he turn people off in the Manny fight? Respectfully, you are over exaggerating what is going on.

The truth is Floyd's sales did slump with Berto, no question. I think its clear he looks to have bounced back with this fight. regardless of how you may feel about it, it is expected to do extremely well financially. At some point, we can't keep projecting personal feelings when the facts/data clearly indicate those feelings are wrong.

I don't know what it'll do for boxing.

But it will be a win for MMA.

I don't know if it will be a devastating blow for boxing, but it will be a bit of a black eye. If you come into boxing, with no boxing experience, take on our best, and you go the distance, hell that's the next best thing to a win.

Floyd should stop this guy without too much trouble.

Its a sham fight either ways..
I am hoping Floyd KOs him to give one back to MMA guys.. But let's be honest Floyd clowning McGee all 12 rounds whilst showboating is more fun for us boxing fans & more embarrassing for MMA guys who think boxing is easy...

It would definitely be a W for Conor if he goes the distance. We'll never hear the end of it from him and the MMA fans.

People predicting Floyd will KO him inside of 3 rounds are saying what they wish. If Floyd brings it he could stop McGregor by way of quitting on the stool or ref stoppage or corner stoppage. But a KO, an early one, is unlikely.

People are overestimating Floyd's power and exaggerating the difference between the two combat sports. McGregor can take a punch, chances are he will be able to take Floyd's punches because of his brittle hands that fracture after a couple of rounds of landing straight rights. It ALWAYS happens, Floyd's hands always give out IN the fight.

"0-0 in pro boxing, fought the best boxer for my first fight, couldn't knock me out. Come to UFC, fight me, i'll KO you."

Floyd will turn it down for sure, look like a b*tch, Conor wins in the end. This is a win-win situation for him, all around. Money, fame, saving face when he loses.

Floyd absolutely needs to KO McGregor here.

I cant see Connor lasting 12rnd regardless of who the boxer is in the ring. He gassed badly in both of his Diaz fights, granted it was at a higher weight. Mayweather will most likely stop him.

It's not too bad but realistically he should stop him.

If Floyd can't easily dominate and humiliate Conor; then it validates the opinion that boxing is just "a limited set of rules" and any MMA striker can compete with the best in boxing.

I absolutely don't agree with this, and my hope is that Floyd puts the ocean of subtlety between the 2 sports on full display.

If Floyd can't stop him, I'll personally find it embarrassing for boxing.

Lets be real. Floyd has more haters among boxing fans than probably any boxer in the history of the sport & definitely since racism has calmed down from the bold & violent racism of the past. So Floyd catches an L as soon as Conor lands one punch to a nice segment of hater fans if not all the hater fans.

That said truthfully the margin of error for Floyd is tiny with this fight. If he loses a round. If he gets stunned. Maybe if Conor is even competitive in a round or lands a nice combo to end a round. Its going to be a L for Floyd & a W for Conor as soon as one of those things happen. Pretty much anything besides a early or at least early-ish stoppage by Floyd, preferably by making him quit, is gonna be chalked up as a L for Floyd & a W for Conor. And the worse part of this is that if Floyd performs within his margin of error & stops Conor in the 5th round of a completely one sided ass whipping his W will come with the disclaimer of "thats what he was supposed to do". So this is all about the money for Floyd & thats it cuz he's getting no other real W's in this fight other than the money.

Floyd needs to absolutely stop Conor in an impressive fashion. This alone will get all of the "casuals" to watch boxing again and bring boxing back to the mainstream popular sport it once was.
If Conor wins, then all of these casuals and even boxing fans will turn to the UFC and other MMA brands as they have been.

This "fight" is definitely hurting boxing already. Every boxing fan and or casual has looked up who McGregor is and watched his highlights and have taken an interest to MMA. That combined with the corrupt judges/referees/promotors in our sport, in my opinion, it is turning people away from boxing.
