I saw a couple ads for it during MLB game on FS1 but that was it.

When PBC hands you a crap card what are you supposed to do? That's the real concern haymon could of easily put Broner vs Garcia on FOX or one of his A list fighters. Instead he is sending all those guys back to showtime. With the FOX deal ending this year PBC either doesn't have the money to pay for bigger fights or refuses to pay for them because they know FOX is not going to give them a TV deal once the time buy is up. Look at some the cards down the stretch for PBC on ESPN and NBC. Dreadful.

Promoters should be getting these guys faces out there, they should be on talk shows, analysing other fights. I know someone like ward is boring (in my eyes) but theres literally no excuse for how few viewers that fight got, he should be on mainstream shows, doing interviews, getting his face out there. Its the promoters jobs to kick the fighters arse into doing these things. Casual fans arent going to care about fights between fighters theyve never heard of. They should be advertising these big fights non stop alongside other sports. Over here the adverts and hype is often interlinked with the football (soccer) and its a second sport for many people and part of the culture. You watch the football in the day, the boxing in the evening and then go out after.

And obviously theres too much politics with fighters stateside fighting under different promoters too, so many times i see about a prospective match up and people will say 'oh yeah that fights never gonna happen cause company A wont work with company B'. It makes it difficult for genuine rivalries to be built.

The Fighters are just not INTERESTING! Easy to blame Network, Promoter or whoever but what are the fighters doing exactly to sell their sport to the people who are not watching?

They're really not doing anything themselves! Most of these social media follow are very low compared to other sport figures and that shows in the ratings when they fight any nobody watches.

Broner is a IDIOT but he does know how to sell himself and that results into good ratings every time he fights. It is a Disconnection with Boxing, Boxers and YOUNG FANS! It is a gap that needs to be bridged somehow and I'm not sure how they can fix it!

yeah but who are the boxers? nobody knows them so of course the ratings will be lower.

Its weird because Keith Thurman has boxed on network TV several times yet people I talk with have no clue who he is, and I heard he did good ratings, maybe these people are not watching the tv and left it on or something?

If we just stay in the PBC bubble this is hands down their worst ratings for FOX, CBS, NBC. Their previous worst drew a 0.8 overnight and 1.24M viewers. This drew a 0.7 overnight and 866K viewers almost 30% worst then their worst ever. So it's not avg if we grade on a curve which is PBC ratings. Now if you step back and have perspective to where this stacks up against all live sports on these networks it's HISTORICALLY bad. That's not hyperbole the 0.8 1.24M viewers was ONE OF THE WORST RATINGS EVER for a primetime sporting event. And this just blew that out the water. The worst UFC on FOX card in their history did double these ratings.

It's not a good look for FOX or PBC to continue to air cards like this. And the folks who keep thinking that PBC is going to get a TV deal are nuts. PBC literally spent millions of dollars to buy air time to waste it on cards that are drawing some of the worst ratings in history that lose tons of money. And you think in a few months when the FOX time buy deal expires they are going to waste their own money on this mess? FOX only aired PBC in the first place because they paid them countless millions to do so. It makes no business sense for FOX or anyone else to pay for PBC which is a business dumpster fire.
You trying to make it just about PBC I think the sports OVERALL is not in a good place in American right not it is just NOT! You can't try to make it like everybody else is doing OK besides PBC but you and I know that is a Lie!

PBC still can get a TV Deal but I think which ever network invest in it will want some control over match making and I don't blame them! PBC, more so boxing in general, they all struggle with giving fans the match ups they want to see CONSISTENTLY! This is why you get a Dip In Ratings and Ratings go up and down depending on who fighting!

Omar Figueroa vs Ghost Guerrero should've been a FS1 Card, that is not Fox Worthy! Adrien Broner vs Mikey Garcia should've been on Fox but I'm assuming that Showtimes are getting the bigger match ups because they're PAYING for the Bigger Matchups!
