Ward Vs Kovalev Series Makes 280K PPV

These are really good numbers. I guess boxing fans weren't as highly interested as their first purchases, most knew Ward was going to beat Kovalev the second time far more convincingly as Ward figured him out.

I guess context or circumstance makes a big difference when buying something twice, seeing two top p4p fighters go at it.... something about the bookies and theory

280K for one fight would've been solid. 280K combined for 2 fights is f**king terrible.

Especially bad when Roc Nation promised Ward 11.5m between the two fights

Shows how delusional I was going into the first fight. I honestly thought the first fight had a shot at between 400 and 500K

But damn it didn't even break 300K in TWO fights

            LOL

300K per fight would have been a pretty big success considering that's what Pacquiao and Canelo have done in some of their fights against non-PPV worthy names

The rematch PPV output is especially disappointing considering the first fight was good and debatable

If thats not the lowest PPV numbers for a 2 fight series in boxing history idk what would beat it. It is somewhat forgivable in that its the first PPV fights for both guys which even the best PPV guys have trending towards poor early PPV fights.

Then again I don't recall guys so unwilling &/or unable to sell a PPV as these two dummies who acted like there is was no upside to them if they sold more PPV's. Weirdest f#cking thing in a asses in seats/PPV buys business.
