Where they think being strong and punching hard is all that matters?? Alot of people can punch hard but distance and timing on the elite level eliminates alot of kos and makes power punchers look limited.. In boxing alot of people can punch..but once you put them in with elite talent the power becomes their only hope. You have to set up your shots and maintain distance while gauging your opponents timing while at the same time try not to get hit or work your way in..Boxing is a complex sport as is any sport on the top , elite level...THERE ARE LEVELS TO THIS ****..RESPECT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure why this is hard to understand....if you can do something good my job is to take that away from you and its your job to figure it out
Is boxing now filled with casuals?

It's probably always been the same. That's why you get a lot of people that think Tyson was the greatest of all time simply because he had power and was a great highlight reel kind of fighter. I don't think it's a modern day thing.
The truth is not that many people are really into boxing in a major way. The types of people that come onto a forum like this are a drop in the ocean compared to the amount that just watch a fight because it's a hyped event. So those kind of people usually don't understand what they're watching from a technical standpoint, but everyone understands a knock out. It's understandable by casual fans only care about power.
Boxing in general is quite a boring sport if it's a cagey fight which many are and you don't understand what's you're looking at.Comment
