    Canelo and the WBC

So Canelo has this continuing beef with Sulaiman.

    Quote

"I won that belt with blood, sweat, sacrifice, a great training camp, by beating Miguel Angel Cotto,” Alvarez said in Spanish. “When I vacated it, they gave it to the other guy like that, without making him drop a bead of sweat. He didn’t even go through a single training camp and they gave it to him. They put it on the table. That’s not an organization you can respect.”

The thing is, what was the WBC expected to do? GGG was the mandatory and I think I'm right in that they let Canelo fight once or twice and he still wouldnt fight GGG. That doesnt normally happen, the WBC give him special treatment. Then we have the famous "just give me my belt" and the ultimate humiliation for Canelo.

Canelo then goes down to '155', meanwhile GGG has a couple of sub par performances. Nothing is mentioned until the Chavez fight, when the deal is done and Canelo rips into the WBC.

To me, it looks like he needed a fallguy and invented this whole story a year later.

If you're going to force Alvarez off of the belt, why not make Golovkin fight the next highest ranked fighter by the WBC for the full belt?

That would have been okay. Has GGG even fought a mandatory for that belt yet?

Actually, the WBC getting a percentage of the Brook, Jacobs and Canelo fight money looks like a good move by them.

The cut the wbc would of got for the canelo chavez fight would be way more than the cut they get from both ggg jacobs and ggg canelo fight combined.never bite the hand that feeds you

because that's not how it works when you're the interim champion.

he did that by becoming interim champ beating Rubio.

Canelo is a dumbass and a diva....Televisa and the WBC made him and he betrayed them both once he was on top and expected special treatment from them(not that you should feel too bad about those rottten corporations).

                  Not yet.

Jermall Charlo (slept JRock with that peach of an uppercut) vs JS Heiland is set to be the mandatory, with the WBC likely more than due to enforce.

Probably why Golovkin is starting to openly talk about walking away from the sport after finally landing his first big payday.
