The most interesting fight this year. Unfortunately, all attention is being diverted to Mayweather/Conor. Most curious thing about this fight is how GGG handles Canelo's body shots and how Canelo reacts once GGG lands clean.

Golovkin also has a very potent uppercut that he disguises well.

Alvarez will have to make that decision... I think Alvarez has a rage we haven't seen yet, and for him to get there could be this fight. We've seen Golvokin rage out of he's frustrated in not resetting properly or he's getting tagged when he shouldn't.

The trade off for Alvarez going balls out against Golovkin will also mean that Golovkin could receive serious damage. Would it affect later on? If he moves up? I think this beating by Alvarez on Golovkin will put the Kazakh to the test.

I think Alvarez has great firepower now at 160. It's hard a fight for Golovkin.
I'm not sure what you're saying but if you think Canelo should stand there and go toe to toe that might be a mistake. I'm going out on a limb and say Golovkin is the bigger puncher. I think taking unnecessary shots from Golovkin would break him down quickly. He has to control the pace like he said but the only way he can do it is land significant punches and get Golovkin to hesitate a little. We saw Jacobs do the same thing but he's quicker and a bigger puncher. He was able to land quick, hard shots, then backed off before Golovkin couid react. Golovkin kept guessing, and when he did attack, Jacobs had an answer each time. Canelo is capable of doing the same thing but he has to keep measured, pressure so Golovkin don't get comfortable. I think Jacobs waited a little too much in certain spots but he responded well to Golovkin's attacks and was able to catch him off guard quite a few times.

Really savage and out of nowhere. I remember Roy Jones gasping in admiration after G landed one.

He has a good punch selection. He didn't look good against Jacobs but i think I favor him slightly against Canelo. Canelo can't be cute on the ropes if he's going to win.

I can't see Canelo trying to hold the center of the ring either at least for very long. Canelo has limited choices.

Do you even know what Boxing is?
The more complete fighter is factual not opinion.
GGG=350-5 amateur fights. Olympic medalist. Currently 37-0 with 19 World title fights.

Canelo=44-2 amateur fights. No Olympic experience. Currently 49-1-1. Was embarrassed by Mayweather and has 2 highly controversial wins against Lara and Trout. AND HAS A DRAW AGAINST A GUY WITH A 3-5 RECORD. 11 Title Fights.

Please explain how Canelo is the more complete fighter? Let me dumb it down more (for you).
GGG=392 total fights. 1 Olympic medal. 19 world title fights. Undefeated, undisputed champion.

Canelo= 97 total fights. 0 Olympic experience. A loss, multiple controversial wins, and a draw with a guy who was 3-5. 11 world title fights.

Yea man sounds like Canelo definitely the more "complete" fighter... (sarcasm...shakes head in disbelief that people with 0 experience and 0 knowledge on combat sports actually join combat sports forums and post comments like that)

You're talking about strategy for the fight. I'm just talking about Mexican willpower to go strong. What makes boxing so great is too see Gatti Ward type fights. I'm not going to just illustrate or imagine that Alvarez won't be able to take a punch and I'm not buying that Golovkin is unstoppable. Alvarez hits way harder than Brook and from the eye test they are the same speed, the difference is that Brook isn't tanked up physically nor has the power like Nelo. Even if Alvarez throws a menacing punch to Golvokin's arms or body we will see how Gennady reacts to wanting to exchange and gain points on the follow up...

Doesn't matter that Gennady caught Jacobs, it's the whole outcome from that fight to take assessment and then we had Brook...

Lemieux was literally stopped by Rubio... Rosado, Stevens, Monroe Jr... if ggg fans think Alvarez is of the same caliber so be it. I mean how many times has Rosado been blasted yet he went 12 with Murray...

                      Come September.
