He's going to find himself fighting Golovkins fight sooner than he realizes.

If Canelo can get Golovkin to respect his power early like Jacobs did then he can carry out this game plan. Stevens and Lemieux had power but Golovkin didn't respect either. Lemieux was too slow and Stevens would stop punching after he landed anything solid. Canelo will have some success but he can't let off (like he has a tendency to do) because he wil let Golovkin get comfortable. Once Golovkin get in his attack mode it's over.

Floyd doesn't run. He stays in the pocket. That's the only way a fighter can convince the judges he's in control of the ring while racking up points and dope compubox. If the challenger can't do anything about that or knock him out even though He always resets back to the pocket what does that say about his opponents?

We haven't even seen from Alvarez what Mexicans are known for. Alvarez will have to sacrifice, just like any elite boxer, has to make a decision, the wrong mistakes will affect later as a hard fight with Golovkin can affect the longevity of his career. Alvarez will have to make that decision... I think Alvarez has a rage we haven't seen yet, and for him to get there could be this fight. We've seen Golvokin rage out of he's frustrated in not resetting properly or he's getting tagged when he shouldn't.

The trade off for Alvarez going balls out against Golovkin will also mean that Golovkin could receive serious damage. Would it affect later on? If he moves up? I think this beating by Alvarez on Golovkin will put the Kazakh to the test.

I think Alvarez has great firepower now at 160. It's hard a fight for Golovkin.

Common sense should say the boxer should win this. I still am not sure. I don't see why Golovkin couldn't hurt Canelo bad.
