Based on eubanks performance today...does anybody actually think that eubank jr. can have any success in the wbbs? Obviously his youthful speed was enough to out flurry an AA that even at his best was more of a power hitting plugger but against the younger hungrier undefeated lions going into this tourny? Against an aggressive groves who has some pretty decent pop and a fairly iron will? Im not sure todays performance did anything to improve his odds.

I agree. Eubanks Jr would get eaten up and spit out by anyone in the division who can actually box. He's fast and flashy but based on his performance against an overmatched Abraham I wouldn't give him a chance against any of the elites in the division.

You're too negative about Eubank. he dominated Abraham. What else could he do? His opponent in first round of WBSS hasn't fought anyone better than he has. Why wouldn't he have success?

What people are missing about the Abraham fight is how Eubank made Abraham fight. The guy had to spend the whole fight cautious and covered up.

The fact that he lost to BJS is a good thing. Made him a better fighter. I still don't think he has world class power and that will cost him against the very best but he will go a long way.

AA has won about 12-14 fights in last 5 years and lost 2 (before Eubank). How does being more defensive win you all those fights??

He is an accurate power hitter...not a one punch knockout artist per se ....but he breaks you with every punch he lands until...like jermain taylor and andre dirrell...you just fall. If you can name me one fighter he has beaten through speed and combination punching...or a top level fighter he has whitewashed on the cards... i will accept your argument...but AA has always had his hands up defensive shell...and always given away rounds because of it...like i say...he has never really changed...hes just gotten older and become less effective.
