Could Conor ever be bigger than Floyd?

One could argue he is now cuz he's got more worldwide popularity. But its hard to measure hate is the biggest problem with determining this. Conor is who he is cuz of fans. Floyd is who he is cuz of haters.
Its hard to measure those things against each other, but I do believe hate pays better & has more loyalty than love in this particular marketplace. Combat sports is unique in that way. Guys won't go see movies with actors they hate, but they'll go watch a fight with a guy they hate in hopes of seeing him get the sh^t beat out of him. Jack Johnson knew that. Muhammad Ali knew that. Even guys like Hector Camacho & Ricardo Mayorga knew that. Floyd knows that too.
If you wanna go by something more measurable like PPV buys, of which I'm a former nerd of, I think Conor gots a rough road to surpassing Floyd. Floyd gots about 20M PPV buys to his name (25M after this fight I'm thinking), Conor gots about 5M PPV buys to his name (10M after this fight I'm thinking). So Conor needs 15M+ PPV buys to surpass Floyd in PPV buys (& likely revenue, although thats harder to nerd stat out on with info available) which is probably gonna take 7 big fights (2M+ buys avg) or about 10-15 fights (averaging 1M to 1.5M per fight). With 3 fights a year/max in the UFC + injuries & caliber of competition I don't see Conor being able to maintain a win streak for the next 2 to 5 years at the level the UFC would require of him to keep his current progression moving like its been moving.
Tides turn quicker in MMA. Guys go from fire to dusk quicker in MMA. Anthony Pettis was one of the biggest deals in the UFC & on the f#cking Wheaties box in 2015 & has lost 4 of his last 6 fights & is the 2nd fight of a 5 fight PPV card as of this month since then.Comment
