Would Thurman vs Crawford look a lot like Casamayor vs Corrales

Over the week I've been watching some classic boxing matches. I just got done watching Corrales vs Casamayor and man that was a great fight. But after the fight I was thinking about the potential match up between Thurman vs Crawford. Like Corrales Thurman is fast and he hits hard(Thurman is the better boxer) and like Casamayor, Crawford is a very skilled technician. But in this match up, like Corrales vs Casamayor, would size, speed, and power win the day. I just think Thurman is too big, fast, and strong compared to Crawford. Plus Thurman has better defense. Thoughts?

Keith Thurman is the highest rated welterweight for me, I think him with a healty training camp and time off beats the other welterweights. He displays the highest ring I.Q, best defense, better speeds IMHO. I think he beats a Crawford that's new to the WW division. An acclimated Crawford is a different story I'd say.

Even then size and speed might be too much plus Crawford gets hit way too much. Im just looking at it this way. Pac and Floyd both started at lower weights. Bit what separates Crawford from Pac and Floyd is the fact that he isn't as fast or as strong as those two guys. And even defensively he's not on their level(Pac was a very underrated defender in his prime)

I agree, but I think because we've both lived through Floyd. IDK about you so I won't put words in your mouth. Seeing Floyd in all his glory[for better or for worse] has sort of made me "numb" when it comes to the defense of a fighter. I agree Crawford gets hit too much, but I think Mayweather has sort of "spoiled" us when it comes to defense from a top fighter.

Agreed. After watching countless and countless film of all the great defensive fighters like, Pernell, Wilfred, Toney, B-Hop, Looche, and Pep. I think Mayweather is at least top 3 in the department of defense. For me it's
            1.Pernell
            2.Wilfred
            3. Floyd

I think Keith would be intimidated by Crawford's counter-punching ability and would fight cautiously. Couple this with the fact that Bud starts conservatively and ramps it up when he's established control, and you have a fight that's not going to live up to the hype.
Yea, I could be entirely wrong, but that's my prediction on this one.

Damn, you make me wanna go re watch that fight. I remember watching all those fights live on Showtime, and each fight always had some controversy, or BS decision at the end.
