I think the only time I heard the crowd on Floyd's side was when he was cheated outta a gold medal at the olympics and even that was exiguous.
The day he debuted and stood over the mullet man ****y af the crowd didn't like him.....

Idk....same thing happened to Ali and Ray Robinson. Maybe Floyd just has a bad aura I honestly don't know. But when people say " they don't like woman beaters and that's why" I can't help but think of the love ben rothlisburger enjoys. I also remember Floyd has been fighting for 20yrs so it's not like this is something new

As good as he is in the ring, he's just not really a likeable character out of the ring.

You can say it's public persona, maybe it is, but if you throw enough ****, some sticks. The way he acts and that flash lifestyle rubs people up the wrong way if you don't have the kind of charm, intelligence or likeable personality traits to go along with it because then you just look plain arrogant. Most people don't like that.

In the eyes of most people he is just an arrogant, flash, unintelligent, charmless, woman beater and really...he is those things. I'm sure he probably has some decent sides to him too but if all you project to the public is the other things, don't expect to be liked.

Still, people watch him fight because they like him or hate him. Whatever he does gets people emotionally involved one way or the other and he knows that. I don't think it's all persona either. I think he is everything you see, maybe he just amplifies it when the cameras are on. He's a 100% egomaniac, that much is true.

Talked a lot of trash and then would fight a cautious, defensive, clinching fight.
One of those fighters (like Hopkins and Ward) who try to take the "fight" out of the fight.
For a fighter whose 49-0, he might have the shortest highlight reel of all tine. lol

LOL, Every excuse except the OBVIOUS one that black Americans face from their fellow countymen. They hated Jack Johnson and EVERY other boxer since. And after knowing the history and reading about it, they still deny it exists. They've been exposed after promoting themselves as superior, fighting is a basic ability (self defense) and now THEY and Everyone else knows, they cant fight.
              goodbye boxing scene
