        In the UK, adults of my parents generation would often refer to kids who were misbehaving as monkeys, and also other adults who they thought were behaving like kids. Teachers at schools I attended would often call kids monkeys when they were being unruly in class, or wherever. There were no racial or racist connotations to the word at all back then. Even now, my mum still calls me a "cheeky monkey" if I'm annoying her or poking fun at her.

          Like I said in the other post, I've seen white people refer to another white person as a monkey when they do something ******. And like you said, I've seen parents say to kids as well.

          Only in America is it 100% racist...

                  Context is key. He was talking about people in a gym in the movie. He wasn't referring to kids or people being cheeky.
