As for this specific fight I predicted Ohara to win & I like the guy more than Taylor, but just like in the Kell Brook fight vs Spence, the fighter quit. Ohara had taken more punishment or was in a position he deemed too uncomfortable to want to deal with further. It is what it is. He lost via quitting.

Granted there is a rule, with exceptions, that once one quits in a fight they tend to quit easier in the future & that may or may not prove to be true for Ohara in the future, but mainly people need to quit being so damn weird about fighters deciding they have had enough. The goal in this sport is to beat the other guy & to me that means winning by decision, KOing a guy or making him quit. Its all a W to me & its all a L for the other guy. I don't need to see a guy senseless on the floor before I deem the other guy the winner.
Exactly. The idea that it's not acceptable for a boxer to tell his corner, or the ref, when he knows he can't win and the fight is over as a fight, is what leads to guys ending up like Mago and Gutnecht .. or worse.

and rightly so, he deserves much much more schit tbh, considering the amount of crap he talked, guy looks like a total idiot now.

To be fair he took alot of punishment, an absolute pounding in fact.. but he could of hardly just sat there after the 2nd kd, it wasnt heavy enough of a kd to beat the count, so the dilemma was pretend to fall over during the count or get up and then quit.
He was looking for a way out no doubt about it.

I was hoping for a highlight reel, curtis stevens stone cold asleep KO and the b!tch robbed us all of that

When you talk as much crap as Davies did and then turn your back during the fight i think you have to expect some level of criticism and questioning of your character.

I don't doubt he struggled to breathe judging by those body shots but it's still a quit, no disrespect but that's just what it was.

I don't know what to say about Ohara. He basically quit and that is something he would have to deal with mentally. We all know about Ortiz vs Maidana, one fight can change the dynamic of a boxer's career. It is up to him to decide whether He can bounce back like a balloon. His demeanour during the fight was not right, for fans, it looked like he bailed out of the fight. What will happen next if the go get tough again, will his mental attitude fails him again?

That's the thing with young pro's/ untested pro's, we will only see their heart and fighting character when they are being bashed up........ Kell Brook very nearly bottled it against Carson Jones and definitely bottled it against GGG, it was inevitable he was going to bottle it against Spence. That's the character of the man!!
Ohara Davies has shown his true character..... he's a quitter and will always bottle it when he can't bully a much lesser fighter. Expect a series of easy fights for Ohara which culminates in him bottling it against a good fighter for a big payday. Can't teach heart

Isn't this the guy who was running his mouth about Floyd and his fighters? This guy felt disrespected when Floyd mention Tank as a fighter that would fight him. Now we know he's lucky he didn't fight Tank, Tank would have destroyed this guy. He's just making up excuses for why he quit. Doesn't look good when your out talking trash and demanding respect and ho out and quit in your next fight.
