Exactly. Can honestly say that I've literally purchased one PPV that I watched by myself (which was a personal replay of s fight that if gone out to see the night before).

It's been either this bar that I found local, a house party that a friend was hosting, or hitting the theater for Fathom Events. Or simply not tuning in, tbh (for those shows, I may check a recap later).

Rather than simply calling your boxing friends, Mayweather-McGregor is the type of event that you can invite everyone to, whether they follow boxing or not.

As the summer is wrapping up, folks can throw the party of the year.

This guy gets it. This is what it boils down to. This fight is a large party/sports spectacle and everyone is invited. If you have any social circle at all you will be able to find a place to watch it. Even if you don't the bars will be packed.

Being a salty nerd complaining about it doesn't do any good.

Didn't say it would be bad business.

Just don't think it will do as well as they think.
Doubt that even Floyd turns his nose up at $150m

Absolutely ridiculous price for this fight. Long night of disappointment

This fight does 3.5 million at the most. I'm guessing it does better than the may vs canelo but does not come close to the may vs PAC numbers.

The Sky is the limit with this fight but I'd expect no less than 3 million buys. They are going to make a killing on it. Canelo Mayweather did 2.2. This is much much bigger.

Yea they doing this right before NFL regular season and college football

Much respect to keeping your kids engaged in boxing, but if your house is the place that your kids and their friends no will be showing the fight, wouldn't your kids want to invite friends over?

No idea where you live or anything, but if the stage is set for me maybe hosting the fight, I'm not going to risk having the fight cut out (or the stream getting snatched) with a captive audience, be it just my kids or the kids and their friends.

they said it could which is the only answer to give! its not like saying we think we will break the record!
