If Conor lasts 12 rounds it's embarrassing for Mayweather even if he wins. Nothing short of a KO/TKO of Conor is a loss.

I don't think it would be embarrassing, I think it would be a moral victory for McGregor, and an all out education on why an MMA fighter should not be compared to a boxer and vice versa.

Anyone who can throw a punch has a small chance, that chance guys up by small increments the longer one is trained. Floyd is 40 years old, has had multiple breaks in his hands over his career, and isn't likely going to land a 1 punch KO. I'd be more concerned about McGregor taking sustained punishment over a 12 rd period, as that will do far more to end his career rather than what he's been doing.

Nope, a 12 rd schooling would be imo much more embarrassing to MMA, and would prove just as much to why they don't belong in a boxing ring as much as why a boxer doesn't belong in the octagon.
