Sure, Team Kovalev dropped the ball... I've always agreed with that and never accused Stevenson of ducking Kovalev.

However, when doing math, there are 8 other guys in the top 10.

and there are 4 leagues and 4 mandatories. adonis is the WBC champion. he doesn't have to chase anybody. a lot of the top 10 guys are jockeying for position in the non-WBC rankings in hopes of picking up a vacant title when ward leaves the division or refuses to face his mandatories.

adonis is the lineal champion. here is the TBRB top 5:

They did. It's not happening although I thought I read something from some optimistic reporter that negotiations were positive.

Ward has bigger fish to fry (literally). Stevenson should be targeting Kovalev but I doubt Main Events makes that fight too. I like Alvarez a lot but I don't know if he can withstand Stevenson's bombs.

You proved my point that out of the current top 10, very few of them have faced multiple other fighters from the top 10.

You clearly have no idea how this sport works. Beterbiev is trying to force Ward to vacate the IBF title. He's not going to fight Adonis until he has the IBF belt so it can be a unification.

Smith was offered the Adonis fight in Smith's home town and he turned it down.

You can't ignore a fact by labeling it an excuse. Stop acting like a child. This is reality. If Jacobs forced a purse bid, HBO would have blocked the fight and Jacobs would have won the vacant title. The fight only happened because Haymon allowed it to. It's always HBO blocking these fights, not Haymon.
