Ggg fights as fast as 2 old people f... Speed kills. A smart gameplan will be 4 Canelo to take off slow as molasses GGG then use movement in the middle rds. After that ggg will come in even slower and MAS desperate.
Canelo by late stoppage.

GGG has one Close Fight and it's not looking good, but Canelo has...
People crack me up. Jacobs skunks Cotto, Chavez and doesn't take him six to finish Khan. Why, size for one thing.
People on here act as if size means nothing. If it doesnt, then why
People demand guys move up. Blah, we know why.
Hell, Canelo couldn't finish Cotto, Manny did, Trout did.
Canelo only KO's above 147 have all been suspect. Kirkland was out 18 months and had to drop from 200 pounds to make weight. Ishida skunked a more durable version of Kirkland.
No doubt in my mind that Jacobs TKO Chavez jr and bounces Canelo around and wins at least in everyone's eyes but the judges.

Originally posted by Hmabshir View PostFinally! someone who has common sense! Golovkin was exposed by Brook and Jacobs, with Jacobs beating him easily. Canelo will expose him. Reminds me of Garcia vs Matthyse, No one gave Garcia a chance, expected a KO then look at Garcia. Canelo by KO 10th round.
And Jacobs, Canelo wouldn't fight him without placing heavy penalties on any rehydration weight he'd put out on.
I wonder what your excuse will be when ggg TKO Canelo is round 8. Suddenly Canelo is gonna be a 140 fighter who challenged himself.

Jab distance body shot and stamina + a granite chin never been knocked down or out not even hurt. All that and experience GGG has all the advantages to win this fight. Will not be close once Saul does his rest against the ropes routine after tiring. He's easy pickings for that left hook body shot. If Liam Smith can land it consistently what's Conello going to do with GGGs body shot that is the ?

And I'm not knocking Jacobs. He's A in all the categories but the whiskers which bring him down a notch to B or B+Last edited by Shadoww702; 07-09-2017, 01:18 PM.

You made a VERY good point about Canelo's footwork which I think I intuitively knew but hadn't really rationalized. The other day some poster said [actually many say it] that Canelo has crap footwork. That's not what I see. He moves in and out of range very quickly - the 1-2 footwork you mention - the sidestep to his left to plant the liver shot on Smith happened in a blink. He had to plant and time Khan. But as you mentioned his 3-4-5 and closing the ring is not his strong point.
He and his excellent team probably know that he is never going to be as athletic as many boxers and the more his career develops the more they know it, so he maximizes what he is good at - body/head movement (see how he made Cotto miss), 1-2 foot-speed and fast hand speed+combos.
Should be a GREAT FIGHT though and IMO goes the full 12.
