At 40(41?), maybe Gayweather won't be running and actually fight Canelo.

Mayweather is four years older and 10 years slower. That means Alvarez might be able to get a gift decision if he fought Mayweather again.

I love the excuses people make for this guy:
--He was green. Alvarez had 44 fights and had been a world champion for three years when he fought Mayweather. It is not Mayweather's fault that Alvarez had never fought a mandatory opponent and only fought one opponent in the top 10 in any division when he fought Mayweather.

He was weight drained. Alvarez started his career at 140 and spent most of it at 147. He moved up to 154 because GBP knew he wouldn't be able to beat any of the champions at 147. Mayweather started and fought most of his fights at 130. Did fighting at 152 mean that Mayweather was weight-bogged because he was fighting 22 pounds above his best weight?

Mayweather ran during the fight. Mayweather was the aggressor in the fight. He didn't stand still and let Alvarez hit him, so I guess that is some people's idea of running.

The truth is Mayweather would beat Alvarez 9 out of 10 times and the 10th time would be a gift decision to Alvarez.

Prime and even somewhat past prime mayweather always beats any version of Canelo. Not sure what would happen now since mayweather is 40 and hasn't fought in 2 yrs but Canelo had his shot and got schooled. He should Just focus on creating his own legacy with fighters who are currently active and accept that L won't be avenged.

But Floyd obviously respected his performance cause he rates the guy, couple times he's come out and said it.
The best shot that Alvarez landed on Mayweather was the knee to Mayweather's body that Alvarez threw when he got frustrated.

He got schooled. No need for a rematch.

Damn. Mayweather will be 50 and still will be called out. Hilarious. Everyone wants a pay day. I wonder how mad other boxers are that a mma guy is getting paid they are not.
